I feel sad for misono, she seems to be a cool girl, but she is not a great singer at all. She should stick with what she's doing now: being a TV personality and nothing more than that. When she tries to outsing Kumi during It's all Love! lives... It's so embarrassing.

Every time I would ever buy asian cds on ebay, they would always come with a free "gift cd" and 9 times out of 10 they would be misono cds. Before I even knew who she was I had a really hard time forcing myself to listen to the entire cd. I just could not get into her voice or music style at all. Apparently you can't even give her cds away. You have to force them onto unsuspecting victims. I actually almost got the the point where I would request that I didn't get the free cds anymore cause I hated them. I just couldn't handle receiving another misono cd against my will.


And if Kumi has any special guest artists at her concert, she better include that shit on the dvd. /forever pissed we didn't get the full boom boom pow koda kumi/black eyed peas performance. I mean, she clumped all the collab performances together on the second disk of the trick tour dvd instead of putting them in the main setlist.

misono just has a really odd way of singing. She sounds like a crying baby. Kuu does it sometimes, too, but she also uses her lower register a fair bit to balance it out.

I feel bad for ragging on Kuu's sister, since I know she loves her, but her music is so bad.

I think she's gotten worse over the years. I mean, I love how she sounds in day after tomorrow's Faraway. Especially the Dirt Devils Remix!

The problem, for me, is that she doesn't know how to control her voice anymore, she is all over the place vocally.

Really excited about this concert, I hope they'll air it on TV or make a DVD/Blu Ray release of it. I loved the dream music park concert a lot, I generally enjoy watching outdoor concerts. Hope this will be cool and have a nice setlist ^^

I love every misono release and I heard much worse in japan.
She has many very good tracks and is a exceptional talented lyricist. She just went overboard with the songtitles.

edit: very nice liveperformance: her voice is much deeper and softer here. She is nothing more than a talented idol in terms of singing, yes...but she certainly is not a bad one.

edit2: as for 0maji no tsunderella - misono was never aiming for a beautiful ballad, thats Kumis style of singing. misono has a different kind of attitude for the song intended.

I have to agree, misono can be a great singer and she has an awesome voice, her main problem is that she doesn't control it not her singing and that's why her singing is unbearable.
Her version of the tsunderera song is way better than kuu's but again, she has to learn how to control her voice or else she will keep sounding like a chainsaw.

misono was awesome on day after tomorrow, it's like when they disbanded she completely forgot how to sing right while her sister did the exact opposite.

^ This, so much. Unfortunately the style (?) she went to after disbanding is also not popular in Japan, and not my cup of tea as well. A shame tho, I remember enjoying VS so much, but by the time It's all Love! came out I couldn't listen to her solo songs anymore.
