I don't see why not! It is an annual thing too, so it shouldn't be too much of an expense in the long run.

And IMO Step by step is very safe but that isn't really a bad thing. It kind of feels like ANGEL'S SONG a bit... or maybe it's just the intro. To me, the song kind of feels like you're 'flying'. NEXT LEVEL has that sort of vibe too.

God I love how much emotion she puts into her live performances. It really shows what a genuine artist she is. Does anyone know what's making her cry towards the end here? Made me tear up a little bit too

I suppose it's because is near to the end of the concert, and due to her fans. The "I feel you. I can hear you" is really common in Ayu's lyrics. She uses it to talk about a precious person for her.

CDL 14-15 has a beautiful moment that impacted me. When Ayu sang this song, in the part of " I can hear you" she places her hand on the left ear

You know that red dress with the ginormous skirt that Ayu wore when singing To Be and Hello New Me last year? What do you think they did with the skirt afterwards? Like, do they just store all of those costumes somewhere for keeps sake? Also, like the No Way to Say dress that just engulfed the stage- where is that now?

Where do worn costumes go when she's done with them? XD

Probably locked up in a huge warehouse somewhere in Tokyo or returned back to the costume designer

Ayu/Slavex should consider opening an exhibition with all the iconic costumes and props she has worn and used in her concerts (especially the mirrorcle world ship). To make it even more enticing, they should let fans climb onto the ship

She actually didn't remove SAKURA from the set list until late June, two months after he'd passed away... I think she made a genuine attempt to keep that song on as part of the tour setlist but just couldn't do it.

I really miss that warmth, all those layers... I just don't feel much as a result of most of these songs anymore, it's... weird. They feel COLD or something, you know?

Lmao! I actually always thought July 1st was overrated. I listen to it as an obligation, and I am happy to break it out for July 1st, but the song really is kind of unpleasant for me.

I know exactly what you mean. It's hard to feel attached and develop a relationship with the songs when you can't get lost in them.

oh my god, step by step is so boring. the video is boring. it's just all boring. It sounds like it was supposed to be on A ONE. If this song is any hint at what the rest of the mini album is going to sound like, I'm not even going to bother listening to it.

It's like she thought to herself that she didn't release enough generic stuff in the last 2 years so between A ONE and this, she decided to overcompensate.

I like it more and more as the years go by but I never understood why people liked it so much when the same single had "independent" and "HANABI" on it. It is by far the weakest of the three, and I feel like its weaknesses are emphasized by the fact that the other two songs are JUST SO FREAKING GOOD. I feel the same about "Greatful days".

I just noticed that some posts were removed from this thread. :O

I'm not sure which Ayu CD to get next. I want to get loveppears and love songs, but I also want LOVE again. I notice a theme here.

I really like the song July 1st. I don't listen to it a ton but I enjoy each time.

Random fact ''A Song for XX'' gets a lot of hate in this forum and I get why. Ayu's voice is super high pitch and some of the songs basically scream 90s buuuut I just gave this album a lisen from start to finish today (which I haven't done in years) and its still such a great album. I forgotten how great POWDER SNOW is! I am never speaking badly of this album again!

Honestly, A Song for XX is a great album. I especially love the lyrics from that entire album. It still stands as my favorite Ayu album, in regards to lyrics. As if... is a bop, too!

I used to "hate" ASFXX because, idk, it was funny to hate this album. "Well this is her first album, all the songs sound soooo dated, almost cheap af sometimes (Hana or SIGNAL's intros), and her voice is unbearable" but i gave it a proper listen a few months ago and i liked it a lot, it's nice to listen to it.

The only reason why I 'hate' ASFXX is the vocalm and it's to be expected bc it's her first album. But music-wise it's a nice album, I really love the album tracks especially As if, POWDER SNOW, SIGNAL and from your letter.

I hate ASFXX, and i still hate after hearing it.
I tried, I swear I tried to get into it..... I just can't.
If I discovered Ayu back in 1998, I don't know if I would have became a fan.
The only songs that I like are A Song for XX and For my dear.... Maybe Powder Snow too, but Ayu's voice....... Such a turn-off.

We all know ASFXX is all about the lyrics and not ayu's voice. It's the only reason it could have outsold some careers. A true lyrical masterpiece.

I love hearing the imperfect vocals before they're all ...perfected... through the advancement of their careers. It adds a different level, like, an immaturity and pureness. Same with Amuro, Koda and Utada. I love all three of their debuts haha and they all sound very different from when they first came out. So that makes their debut albums kind of special on a different level for me :-p

I.m obsessed with the INSPIRE/GAME single since yesterday. The instrumentals are epic and give a new flavour to the song that I never discovered in the original. The details are more visible since ayu.s vocals are toned down. I enjoy her backing vocals too, some are passionate, others not.

A Song for XX is great, imo. The remix album after it is wonderful too. (I can't stop talking about that CD)

As for all of the costumes, I think Avex should open up a costume museum kind of thing where a lot of their big stars display their on-stage outfits. That would be cool.

....by the way, I'm going to be house sitting with next to no internet for about five to six days. I won't be able to check AHS as much so I'm hoping that when I get back, there'll be some really cool news or something that I missed. We'll see!
