Interesting how many of you have Ayu related dreams. I never dreamt of her sadly.

It's not about how long you've been doing music but how well you sell.
K-Pop is a big phenomenon right now with Big Bang being one of the best selling artists. K-Pop fans are all over the world and there seem to be a lot more than J-Pop fans. At least they seem to be concentrated in certain areas which makes concerts possible. Apart from that, many don't seem to mind the high ticket prices up to 300-400$. Big Bang and other K-Pop acts sell well enough for companies to bring them overseas.
Fans also seem crazy/passionate enough to travel to cities far away. K-Pop fans are usually a bit younger, so travelling and making time for travelling by skipping school/university is kind of easier for them.
Comparing that to Ayu fans, those are also international but not equally distributed: most of them are in Asia. Ayu was able to sell lots of tickets in Asia and probably still is able to but I don't think she'd be able to do the same in America or Europe. To me it seems like she does not have enough fans outside of Asia, or at least not concentrated enough in certain areas.
I'm not too sure how many fans would be willing to travel to a different country if she'd hold a concert, for example in Europe. I don't know how much fans would be willing to pay, in particular because most Ayu fans are probably older and have more responsibilities such as a regular job etc.
I also think someone mentioned once that they wanted to book Ayu for a convention in the US but she was way to expensive which could also be a problem for local promoters.
All in all, I think an Ayu world tour would be awesome but seems highly unlikely.

If only it were the case that ayu going to a convention wasn't about money. I know its her job but didn't our dear friend and extremely intelligent person Lady Gaga say "music not the bling"?... It would just be so cool to see her go to anime expo or whatever. I'd go to LA for that.

I love Ayu's song "The Gift." It is the perfect length and is so pretty. I would love some kind of fun, upbeat remix for it.

Unsurprising that all the people that don't want Ayu to do a world tour are the people who either live in Japan, or have visited and seen her in concert.

I feel you. It's like ''We know you already saw her live and we are very happy for you but would it kill you if she performs outside of Japan? I don't think it will!''

On other Ayu related talk: Anyone's gotten the ''The Show Must Go On'' postcards? I want scans. I want to buy at least one set but don't know which one to get.I'm thinking between A and C. Also question: does each set only bring the 3 photos in the ''sample''? Or are there more in each set that are not shown?

Oh God! I didn't mean for anyone in particular to take offense for my comment and I apologized if I made you or anyone else feel bad. I just felt like venting cuz some fans( some, not all) are being so negative and selfish. Feels at times like they are rooting against those of us who want a world tour.

I have all three sets.Each has more than three postcards. I can scan them sometime at the end of this week when I'm back home ^^

^that would be so great. Once you scan them it'll be easier to choose one.How many does each set bring? And how big are they? I have a couple of 4x6 frames that are practically begging to be put on display with ayu pics.
