Yup, I agree that sharing stuff is not very good after all. I don't mind sharing stuff per se, but then fans start complaining that it's not worth the money. And no wonder, because almost everything gets shared right away. And even with the TA versions of her releases, non-members can get them with help of existing members. The only way she could make TA exclusive would be free goods, which would make the fees way more expensive than they are now, if she wants to send them overseas. Or having a fanclub chat, where we could talk to her directly, but then a lot of fans will use it to complain about releases and be very rude to her.

Right now being a fanclub member is just like owning a copy of an album: not really necessary, because you can download everything online, but some people still like to buy them and it has certain little perks.

I remember cleary my first look at TA website, it was like 2006 I think, a friend who was a member showed me the site, it was amazing back then, with lots of making of pictures of PVs, CMs and such, and so many Picture of the day stuff, I wish we whould get that back, but with the "share"-mentality of the overseas fans it´s quiet impossible now.

Yeah.. It's TA privileges.. Yesterday after i saw the PV on TA websites. I just want to share my opinion about the PV. And suddenly there is already a thread that the PV is out with the download link.

To be honest i was quiet disappointed about it. Already disappointed that the PV they gave only short version and then there is already a download link on it.. trust me guys if this always going on like this there will make ayu lost lots of TA members. If you want to SUPPORT Ayu, you should control yourself..

I agree, "we" shouldn't share TA exclusive content so easily, a few screenshots from the PV were enough, or the audio rip if people were impatient for the song, but uploading the whole PV like 5min after it went online was a no-no. I don't want to act like an elitist here, i don't want to block everything, but when you see that everyone can get what you paid for, people will want to stop becoming TA members and Ayu will be hurt in the end, you can see that now she tries to make TA members feel special : Sorrows lyrics, the TV appearance only TA members will be able to attend, TA tour... So let's not ruin that.

I agreed to you all on "no-no-100% sharing", I was very surprised to see the download link right after I finished the pv on TA site. If keep on doing this, in future we might no more exclusive - pv 1st view, making of certain concert/pv or some picture....

Yess.. Nowadays, ayu try so hard to get all TA members to comeback.. Thats why she will do the TA tour after 12 years. Maybe she got a report that she lost lots of TA members..

Pic or audio is okay. But pls don't do 100% share to what things that should be for TA.. Thats will hurt lots of people inc. Ayu..

It would be nice to have a message on the forum EVERYONE gets to see about that, like a special thread, or a private message or something. AHS is not the only one at fault for sharing content of course, but it would be better than nothing, to warn members about sharing TA exclusive content.

Yeah, even if people really want stuff from TA to be shared (like, maybe a person genuinely wants to be a fanclub member but can't afford paying for membership at all), maybe we could at least wait a few days. Like, in case of the PV: screenshots on the first day, then audio rip the next day and the PV itself in a few days at least. Not to be greedy, just to justify paying for the membership fee.

you know what bugs me? how is that shit exclusive if it will be released later on for public. This isn't exclusivity it's just giving out information for people who pay a bit earlier. Exclusive stuff is exclusive. i understand messages and extra bonuses but the regular release stuff? There's nothing exclusive about it if it will eventually get an official release outside of fan club. that's why i don't get the deal with FCs. How much exclusive stuff do they REALLY get? It's not worth it. Exclusive is the stuff that ONLY is on there and won't be out officially in public or anywhere else.

^u're not getting my point. The exclusive stuff is the stuff that only appears on FC and won't be released by the label eventually for public, i'm not talking about FC members sharing stuff on the web. I'm saying that things like previews of PVs, lyrics, photo books and things like that that are scheduled to be released for public by the label are not exclusive at all. They are just information shared with FC earlier than the rest gets to see it. There's nothing special about it. They're just marketing it as being something special, but it's not, because everyone will see it eventually begin a member or not. That's what i'm saying. The exclusive stuff is TA entries from Ayu, they are only there in the FC and are shared by her. Does that make more sense?

well that's entirely up to you whether to join the fanclub or not, no one's forcing you Some people are impatient and like getting stuff earlier, or they enjoy those small bonuses. You don't really miss out on that much by not being part of a fan club, so I don't see a big deal.

Unless she does a global tour exclusively for fanclub members, which I don't think she will (though I'd be happy to have any world tour, even if it was just for TA, but I do understand that some people can't afford to pay extra).

I get your point, but also the early previews sharing will get us to the point that TA whould be useless one day. It´s just a coincidence that this discussion is starting over the Summer Diary PV (which is releaseed soon anyways) If it whould be a TA exclusive message from Ayu it whould be ripped and uploaded immediately too....

@artcika I agree with you. The "exclusive" content on TA is rather limited, unless you live in Japan (TA tour, TV shows). I just joined TA to support Ayu even more. Honestly I don't see the point of open TA internationally like they did as you still have to make use of damn Tenso. I would have rather left the old TA system where at least we had gifts and physical mags.

The point of international TA is that at least now almost everything's translated (except for a couple of blog entries, and the song lyrics, video etc.) and if you want to go to Japan to see her live, it's way easier to get the tickets.

But I do wish they kept the option of fanclub goodies. They could easily ask international members to put in the tenso address, so avex doesn't have to handle the shipping. But maybe as the fanbase is decreasing it's not feasible for them to release the goods any more, which is why they stopped doing that altogether?

um i guess i should have cleared it out that it doesn't matter who uploads it to TA, i think that stuff should be left out in general. You wanna make people feel special? then do something special. Sharing an upcoming release is not special if it's out in 3 weeks.

lol Me not liking it is not the point here, you clearly don't see what i'm trying to say here, Toniayu123 did, and added to it. You just have that fact that i am not a fan of FCs stuck in your head and that's the only thing you'll see with every single post i make regarding FC. When in fact i'm trying to say that they rip people off for info that's gonna be out anyways, pretending that what they pay is worth it, when in fact it's gonna be out for everyone for free eventually, by the LABEL ITSELF. That's what i'm trying to say here. If they didn't do shit like that maybe people wouldn't need to go berserk on one another for sharing that crap online. Just make everyone wait and don't add fake value where there's really none of it. It's the easiest stuff to share on FC and say "oh you're special because you got it earlier that everyone else" because they didn't need to spend extra cash on that to still have people paying for this. In other words the idea of "you wanna people pay extra? then spend extra on the continent" isn't applied here. But most of FC members cannot even see that.

Let me give you an example what's exclusive. An artist sharing wedding photos with a message, but then again they never showed up online because people over there never shared them outside. I sometimes have a feeling that people just want attention when they share things that are not supposed to be shared. So my conclusion on FCs is members themselves fuck it up (in this case too), greediness and attention seeking is what it is. Not necessary on TA but i've known people who shared every time something would come up because with that they eventually gathered a huge crowd following them and supporting what they did.

To follow your example if Ayu whould post a wedding picture on TA, I am sure it whould be up on the whole web in a minute.
And that is the point, if this continues TA won´t post any exclusive stuff anymore. TA will become a site for ticket reservation and bonus stickers for albums...

As for that AYu wedding stuff, well i am sure people could get over the fact that they are excited about this, just by describing the pic and the message without it needing to be out there in all details. But again, the members need to get their shit together. And then when people don't share that stuff i always just go, it's just a piece of info that I'm sure i can survive not knowing, if you want to know it so badly, join the thing, if it makes such a huge deal for you.

^call it whatever you want, that's your opinion. But the FACT is that it is a timed exclusive. Video games companies do it ALL THE TIME.

It just sucks. I hate to say it, but Japanese TA fans wouldn't do this. This mentality of everything needing to be shared right away, especially if it's something like this, is ridiculous. It's disgusting. It's disrespectful.

If you can't pay the $30 PER YEAR for TA or choose not to, that's YOUR PROBLEM, not TAs. It doesn't give you (not YOU, specifically, but anyone) the right to do these things.
