Yeah, just the choir part in Shounen Shojo was disliked by some. Myself included Aside from Miliyah's hit-or-miss covers, this thread is pretty positive.

Anyhow. I hope I'll like the b-sides better.

Gosh, whats wrong with me. that choir was the best about the song (just the transition sucked). I'm still mad at her for cutting it out - it added so much drama and deepness to the song.

Maybe the plain covers are just slipcases....lets wait and see.
I stopped caring for covers anyways - glad when they are nice, don't care if they are not.

HOLY SH*T!! Piece of Cake was finally uploaded and I just watched it. I don't think that song is THAT bad, Mineta Kazunobu kind of ruins it like he does the P/V. He needs to loose that hairstyle too, not to be judgy. (I'll be honest, I don't know much about him. Aside from learning basic info as I just looked him up.) Miliyah sounds good though and albeit a bit grundy looking, she's really pretty in the P/V. Especially with the long blond hair.

The chorus is the best part(s) of the song.. I don't really have any issues with it until Mineta Kazunobu starts shout singing. I really feel that this would have been a fine song if Miliyah performed it solo, but since they worked on it together... I JUST think why it doesn't sound good is because their vocals don't mesh well together at all. Listening, it was just a strange juxtaposition of her vocals being sweet/pop and his being rough/punk... if you will for comparison. The essence of the song is very cutesy, pop. Its not a good pairing for this collaboration. If they sang in similar styles then maybe it would work, but Miliyah just doesn't have that rough quality in her vocals and vise versa.

Anyway as the P/V rolled into the second half, it just got weird when Mineta moved up toward Miliyah. My initial thoughts ran from, 'oh, its like they're interested in each other, going to serenade each other' then quickly changed to 'omg he wants to devour her'! I mean... I could totally see him being a Titan in Attack on Titan trying to eat Miliyah up. She is not his Piece of Cake and she totally moved him arms length away from her at one point and even at the end as they embrace each other, she's totally punching him in the back. It was just WEIRD.

and the song is simply awsome, it is just not her usual style - it carries the emotion pretty well and there are whole genres based on screaming. than rapping isn't music either? cauz that is just talking. Moreover, this style of music is pretty cpommon for japanese music.

I'm glad she tries something new and doesn't stick to safe sound and gets lot of different features... thats the only way to evolve.

I'm not offended, I'm just tired of people bringing up the 'hate' for SS when it has never existed.

Miliyah has never been one to stick to one genre anyway, but up until now, I never disliked anything she released. And I've been a fan of hers ever since her debut days, so that must mean something.

It's not even the genre of music itself that I don't like, it's the way Kazunobu Mineta ruins the song with his annoying shouting. Miliyah's shouting too and I don't mind it that much, but his voice is just irritating and unappealing to me. This grungy side of her is interesting, just not with him by her side.

POC could have been awesome, but it's a fail for me. Too bad coz the PV is really cool looking.

PoC is not at all for my ears. As someone said earlier, the song is awkward, because nothing about it flows together. The melody itself sounds like nothing more than stock background music.

I still love it. PV reminds me of movies like Shimotsuma Monotagari or Memories of Matsuko. very Japanese, very cool.

The last single I truly enjoyed was EMOTION. LOVE LAND didn't do too much for me. Kamisama, UNIQUE, and maybe Lonely Hearts.

I really liked the singles from the TRUE LOVERS era. ROMAN, AIAIAI, HEART BEAT. Love those songs! But also couldn't really get into the album tracks except for 眠れぬ夜のせいで and All I Want Is You.

Loveland was indeed weak at firts but grew on me the last weeks.
Shonen Shoujo is clearly her best song since Yuushatachi. HEARTBEAT is still a mess, addicting though.
