Bought the itunes. Mostly I enjoy all the songs, in my opinion this album mostly resembles her Paradise album and I mean the side B only. And there surely some influences from Ultraviolence too.
When she said this album gonna be like her debut, Born to die, I was so excited because I anticipated some hip hop infuse or upbeat songs like National Anthem, Lolita and Off to the races. I didn't found the feelings here.
The new songs mostly enjoyable. I like God Knows I Try, Art Deco, Salvatore was funny yet she bought it beautifully. Swan Song I thought she gonna pull that vocal range she had like when she sang Shades of Cool, I put my hope to high. The cover song kinda good, it needs some up tempo in chorus so it doesn't sound so bland.
And yes. I don't like the album cover. I prefer this:

Overall 8/10

I'm going to listen to it from Spotify when I have time and then order the physical copy from this one online store I like to use for buying music.

But apart from the songs I already heard before the release, Music To Watch Boys To and High By The Beach are my favorites. Terrence Will Love You was cool, but still something was missing from it, lol. I can't wait to listen to the rest of them~

I listened to the album in full yesterday. There's a few good tracks - The Blackest Day, God Knows I Try, Swan Song, Honeymoon, off the top of my head... but like Refix said, I expected a few more upbeat tracks since she compared it to her debut album. It's more appropriate to compare it to Ultraviolence if anything.

It's a more mature album but nothing has stuck in my head... I'll give it another listen later today.

I enjoyed the album. It sounds really soft and smooth. I thought Lana said a honeymoon is like living the dream according to her, and the album did carrying me away to some kind of a dream state ("Dreaming away your life" - last sentence of the Honeymoon title track). In other words, this album defines the concept of the honeymoon as she described. Overall I think she did wonderful.

I received my copies yesterday and found it somehow awesome that she has only put the key lines of each song in the booklet. No full lyrics (except for Honeymoon) and not even the name of the tracks.
I do not know why but it intrigued me. The booklet pictures are romantic. Not something you did not see yet, but it is very, well, dreamy.

Judging the songs seperately I have my favourites:
Honeymoon, God Knows I Tried, High By The Beach, Salvatore, The Blackest Day and 24.
24 is so gorgeous I can't. There is no song I really dislike. I think it is Art Deco and Freak I am less fond of.
Anyway it's good music, I am happy with the release. Sure, it is not as catchy as her debut, but conceptually wise Honeymoon wins! She has now three nice albums.

Played the album for several times, never get tired or snore... yet lol
The new songs which I think kinda meh now growing. Such as The Blackest Day, 24 and Religion.
As a person who always hunt for deluxe version, I find it kinda... unsatisfied. Why she didn't drop a deluxe version of this baby? Add two or three songs. 13 tracks are too short. Surely Don't let me be misunderstood was perfect ending for the album, but... I don't know, maybe I just get a bit compulsive lol

I'll need to give this album a few more spins to see if I actually like it as a whole. I need to do it when I'm fully awake though
So far it feels like a slight progression from UV but whether that progression is forward or backward, I cannot say as of yet.

This is a huge step forward from Ultraviolence IMO. I was hoping for more BTD-era throwback with some faster-paced songs but I understand now why that wouldn't have worked conceptually. The second half of the album is pure perfection, though I could have done without her cover of Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood. I am sooooo attached to the version from the Kill Bill Vol. 1 soundtrack that I have no interest in listening to other versions

^ Haha, yeah I agree. Santa Esmeralda had done the best justice to the song.

And another nod to Refix. I was confused! On wikipedia (then again how trustful is this source) it said that the deluxe ver. included three new songs. But on Lana's website or anywhere else there was no proof really. Ultraviolences deluxe version was released immediately so... who knows, maybe we will get Honeymoon ~The Paradise Edition~ lol
I think I can do without tho, because the album sounds complete.

@Delicious, maybe listen to it while doing the dishes or whatever haha. If you get carried away by the music, it might be the most trippiest dishes ever.

^I check Wiki, seems like they already edit their post. No deluxe for now :-(
The inside booklets pictures reminds me of Ayu Love songs. So pastel, sweet and dreamy.

Freak is giving me 50 Shades of Grey vibes. It's such a sensual song I feel like I'm in someones sex dungeon when I'm listening to it lol

I'm really enjoying this album. The songs are very... "movie-esque". As if they belong in certian soundtracks. DLMBM is the weakest song for me only because I adore the original by Nina Simone. However if I were to compare albums, I still prefer Ultraviolence.

^^ that's confusing. So originally Honeymoon made from 11 tracks only? 10 if you take out Burnt Norton. Gee that's kinda little for foreign album since we usually get 15. Or 17 tracks for deluxe.

Music to Watch Boys To, Freak, Art Deco, and The Blackest Day are the best tracks so far.

Ultraviolence was 11 tracks for regular edition and 14 tracks for limited edition, so this time for Honeymoon we have one edition with 14 tracks and not 2 different version like Ultraviolence got.

I'm disappointed. It's a slug-fest all the way through (minus High by the Beach and Freak). I don't understand why I can't get into her albums anymore. I love her aesthetic. I love her voice. I love her lyrics. But the music is just so damn boring. God. I have no favorite track, but I guess High by the Beach can be one.
