JPopAsia - Nakashima Mika Will Go Acoustic On "MTV Unplugged"

Nakashima Mika will be holding a special acoustic concert as part of the "MTV Unplugged" series.

The upcoming performance will occur on January 10 in Tokyo. The concert will be broadcast on MTV some time in February.

"MTV Unplugged" is a prestigious acoustic concert series that only a select few Japanese acts have participated in. Featured Japanese artists include Utada Hikaru, Hirai Ken and Ayaka.

Applications to attend the event can be submitted on the MTV Japan website. The deadline to apply is December 27.

Nakashima Mika is currently celebrating her 15 anniversary since debuting.

After watching some of her recent performances I'm shocked! What has happened to her voice? She used to be quite amazing live and lately she sounds off pitch constantly... The latest GLAMOROUS SKY performance at FNS was even painful to watch

I think Mika suffers an illness called Patulous Eustachian tube. It really affects her ability to listen to her own voice while singing live. I don't know which of her ear suffers though. I just heard that from my brother.
