There were loads of people waiting for actors for the BAFTAs, and he said 'yes' about some of those actors, so we know they're willing to say. Claridge's is quite full of actors right now, we saw a few haha

Yeah, I wouldn't really trust the Claridges staff. They weren't too happy back in 2010 at people hanging around and it's probably part of their script to not confirm that anyone is staying there depending on what the celebrity themselves have said.

That said, Ayu hasn't given any indication of where she's staying so maybe it's a personal trip or she's not meeting fans. Maybe later, if she's still here?

Exactly. If an incident were to take place and it emerged that the hotel's staff had done something even as seemingly innocent as confirming that someone was a guest, the hotel becomes liable. (See also: Erin Andrews suing Marriott for $75m over that horrendous peephole incident back in 2008 because their staff acted in a way that enabled her stalker's behavior.) The staff are not at liberty to disclose who is/not a guest and they could be putting their jobs in jeopardy if they do, so take everything they say with a grain of salt.

We're taking it more as confirming our gut instinct, none of us were confident that it was the right place. That, and the staff confirming more 'high profile' people made us even more sure she's somewhere else this time.

For context, 4 of us for Ayu, over 10 much more disruptive people for the actors staying.

Yup, it could well be the case. But the celebrities they confirmed may as well have said it was okay to tell waiting fans they were there, whilst some may opt out. It's a common process. Either way, I suppose we just have to wait for Ayu herself to confirm something...

She's written that she's missed her fans in x place before without meeting them. But I do hope she makes the time to see people before she leaves! It feels like ages since we got proper fan photos with Ayu.

Definitely not. The hotel will not accept any gifts for Ayu at the hotel counter. Any deliveries are usually taken through the back and the hotel staff are told beforehand of trusted couriers. Celebrity security is no joke So a word of warning for anyone waiting around, don't waste money trying to do something like this. If you want to give her something it's best to assume you'll only be able to do so through a face to face meeting or by giving it personally to one of her personnel.

^shorter holidays maybe her husband was with her and they wanted to celebrate valentines day in London. But no one could see him on the photos. Or she just looked for some places she can work with for a later progress of her new album
