Just came back from her concert and it was really good. I didn't watch the DVD version too much because I want to get surprised.

The opening was great, so much energy (as usual though). I think she forgot some of the lyrics during slower songs like get myself back, I think she was too overwhelmed by the crowds, she smiled too much that she couldn't sing some part of them.

There were a special message by the 2nd floor audience by lifting color cards that appeared as TW <3 NA (Taiwan loves Namie Amuro). She was so shy and she said "shie shie" (which literally means thank you). Speaking about speaking Chinese, she shouted "Jian jiao ba, Taipei!" during every woman, which means "Scream, Taipei!"

Not a huge fans to the setlist though, but yeah, that's the only thing that is negative in my opinion.

I watched the whole concert and I must say those trailers made it look really bad but it was quite ok. The setlist is a bit weird, I like the songs but it was hard for me to feel them in this order, it was slightly unusual. Also I feel like they got rid of sections completely, although they were always very scarce, but I could more or less remember the ballad part, or the fun part, here everything seemed very random and similar. It's not bad but since Ayu or Kumi have very distinctive sections this concert felt like a book without chapters.

The camera turned out good. I was worried after the trailers but it turned out it was standard.

The only thing I couldn't stand was her dancing but that's what I usually don't like about Namie, I was happy when she finally stopped the mechanical dancing and stiff / serious face. I like the way she dances to eg Space Invader or Brighter Day where she just moves in place or does some gestures (when she's more natural and smiles), or when it completes the song like in Be who I want to be.

I don't feel like rewatching it, I made the mp3 files and I'll stick to that.

So this is more than a year late but with LIVEGENIC tour finally out I finally got around to watching Live Style 2014 and I think this is the best concert since P<F 2009. The outfits are all amazing, I really love the plaided red one and the metallic silver one. Hands on Me performance was probably her most energetic individual performance in years. I love that she performed Grotesque as well, it is quickly becoming one of my fav songs of hers (and Ken Hirai). Looking forward to watching LIVEGENIC within the next few days, but as others have already mentioned, not a big fan of the playlist.

The setlist really was... scrambled, I think is the best way to put it. Nothing really flowed besides when she did BD~Grotesque~REVOLUTION as in they're all collabs, though even that was reaching for me. I personally would have loved if she had put some FEEL songs in there. Hands on Me, Rainbow, or Supernatural Love would have fit well. Even some from her earlier works to go alongside Close Your Eyes, Close To You. (Hell, maybe I should just go watch the FEEL tour again xD)

I still loved the concert, however. It really was one of the concerts I've seen of hers in a long time where she seemed to be really enjoying herself. I hope she continues to have stages like that. The use of colors and lights was lots of fun.

those songs already appear in Feel Tour and LS2014.
just in case you didn't realise, in her tour, songs already appear twice in two tour back to back, she won't perform in next tour, quick example:

BF tour / PF tour
Baby Don't Cry ; BLACK DIAMOND ; CAN'T SLEEP, CAN'T EAT, I'M SICK ; Do Me More ; Dr. ; FUNKY TOWN ; ROCK STEADY ; Sexy Girl ; WANT ME, WANT ME ; WILD

PF tour / LS2011
Bad Habit ; COPY THAT ; Defend Love ; FAST CAR ; ROCK U

LS2011 / 5 Major Domes Tour: NAKED
5 Major Domes Tour / FEEL tour: Hot Girls ; Sit! Stay! Wait! Down!

only few song make 3 times back to back:

BF tour / PF tour / LS2011
- ROCK STEADY ; WHAT A FEELING

PF tour / LS2011 / 5 Major Domes Tour
- Break It ; Get Myself Back

LS2011 / 5 Major Domes Tour / FEEL tour
- Fight Together

5 Major Domes Tour / FEEL tour / LS2014
- Love Story

I've never noticed that! Keeps it fresh, I suppose. Thanks for informing me! That's interesting.

(Edited my reply just so our replies are in sequence. When it wasn't it looked like I was just replying to myself which may have confused some people later on xD)

Please someone teach that method to Kumi so we won't be forced to listen to Ai No Uta and FREAKY anymore

^imo seeing Ayu lately, she's been doing a good job in picking songs. She expands her repertoire. What she needs work is in the thematic department.

Kuu really needs it, Ai no Uta needs to go.

At least when Kuu overperforms a song there's something new/interesting going on (Ai no uta at Kingdom Tour was a piano version, remix in a medley at TRICK Tour, the water stage in UNIVERSE Tour; Cutie Honey had a jazz ver on BC Tour, pole break on Kingdom Tour, during a medley in TRICK Tour and so on; maybe FREAKY is the exception but the song is so good I don't care hahaha). The problem with ayu is performing the same songs the same effing way Namie sometimes varies choreo and sings some remixed version which is good but indeed she is the one who varies her set list the most, but then her concerts have the same looks lol I guess it's just to each their own

I think concert staple songs are whats keeping ayu concerts watchable, otherwise she would sing her newer songs which are crap.

you have a point there. im watching the newer songs as well to get the complete feeling of the song. tsuki is , on performance base and audio, one of her best songs ever.

Namie Amuro will be providing the theme music for NHK's coverage of the 2016 Olympics and Paralympics.

Amuro's new song for the Olympics is titled "Hero". The track is described as a powerful song that will resonate within the hearts of viewers.

"Athletes face this grand stage once every 4 years. Together with this dynamic music, we expect to boost people's expressions, and raise everyone's excitement," NHK said when explaining its choice.

Amuro stated that she is very honored to be singing the Olympics' theme song. She also called for the athletes competing in the games to do their best, and hopes her song encourages them.

"Hero" will also be used as the theme song for other sporting events leading up to the Olympics, including championships in gymnastics and swimming.
