so.. GACKT is releasing new album and the way he did this reminds me of all those times people flipped out over the recycled material on her albums, or marketting strategies that were fishy. I've gotta say that Ayu's wasn't NEARLY as bad with as GACKT's now is. lol

Well he basically recycled few of his older songs and one of them is 10 years old almost.
This album is glorified compilation again. His real studio album seems to be DIABOLOS released in 2005?
I was also thinking how majority of us here lost our marbles when we found out that the contents from LOVE / again are going to be included again on a full studio album because Ayu never really did something like that , to include already released material on a mini album to a upcoming full studio album. Seems that people dont really mind in GACKTs case or maybe I missed the meltdown

Thanks to tomoyo I downloaded every Ayu remix album. Took all day but I did it. I just started to lisen in order from oldest to newest so I am currently lisening to the first ayu-mi-x acoustic orchestra side and I must say I AM IN LOVE! I have always loved ''A Song for XX'' even with the outdated feel of the songs and to lisen to it with this new (well, new for me) arrangement it's just fantastic. In some ways it's better than the original album itself in the sence that unlike the outdated feel of the songs in the original, the acoustic orchestra ver. has an almost timeless feel to it. That's just my opinion. I know some of you must think of the acoustic orchestra ver. as extremely boring. I know my brother do.

^^ why should there be a GACKT meltdown? barel anyone on this forum is a fan. And those who are don't seem to be bothered, like me for example. He did handle his releases shitty even before so no biggie really. I also did not mind the LOVE/again thing...I was just said that it took down so many fans.


edit: and the reason for RETURNER to be on it is the theme. LAST MOON is the last album for the MOON SAGA, and all singles that he did since Diabolos that contributed to that are now on this album...makes perfect sense tbqh.

^^She is saying there wasn't a meltdown among Gackt fans, not that there should be one around here.

To be quite honest I believe Ayu fandom loves the feeling of going through a meltdown.... Not only there's always one over something pretty stupid, there's also tons over stuff that are pretty much common industry practice. The LOVE/again one was justified though.

I remember when Hikki released her SC2 and the bonus gift were some poorly done paper Kumas charms and the reaction was pretty much "eh... this is shitty lol" and though of everytime some people around here got really mad over gifts or goods they could just not buy.

I am not saying that it should be any meltdowns but the point is that we kind expected different type of a studio album but oh well I will gladly take anything from him up at this point

And I was actually waiting for him to release a new album to get properly back into him lol. I thought it was bad when L'Arc~en~Ciel included Drink It Down on Butterfly.

The first album I got of Gackt's was actually Diabolos (maybe in 2006?) Although the way you describe it Andrenekoi with the moon theme has got me interested. I think I only have two of his singles since Diabolos.

I was listening to A Best 15th Anniversary Edition last night and I can finally hear that End Roll has been resung!

Her voice really was amazing here. That dancer, though...she is so beautiful and graceful. I found her to be extremely striking.
