Ah, the covers are very nice! The minute I saw the CD only cover, though...I was in instant love. Arashi just have such beautiful faces! Anyway, I'm loving that b-side title, "supersonic", to bits. Hoping it's like a fast paced dance song or something, but either way, can't wait to hear it!

Apparently Sumire once had such a horrific nightmare featuring Sho, its contents can't be shared on TV.

A trend among concert organizers in Japan to scan the faces of fans at live venues to discourage ticket scalping has finally been adopted for a show by long-running idol group Arashi, whose tickets are like gold dust.

Tickets for Arashi concerts, which originally cost less than 10,000 yen ($93), regularly fetch hundreds of thousands of yen on the thriving online resale market.

Johnny & Associates, the management company behind some of the most popular boy groups such as Arashi and SMAP, has announced it will introduce facial-scanning technology for Arashi's “Japonism Show” concert tour for the first time for one of its artists.

Applicants for tickets must submit their mug shot via e-mail along with their application form. The facial-recognition technology installed at the entrance of concert venues does the rest.

Tickets to concerts of the wildly popular five-member group are regarded as the “most difficult to obtain” by its fans. Only the group’s fan club members are eligible to apply for a ticket, and they still need to win a fiercely competitive lottery.

Ardent fans of the group thus attain multiple fan club memberships using names of their family members and friends in an attempt to beat the odds.

For those who are not fan club members or lose in the draw, the only chance to enter concerts is to buy tickets from online resellers, such as the popular Ticket Camp website, which resell tickets for concerts, musicals, sports and other events.

Arashi's nationwide arena tour will kick off at Sundome Fukui in the central prefecture of Fukui on April 23.

While Johnny & Associates stipulates on each ticket of its artists that entry is only for those who originally obtained them, it used to be technically difficult to confirm everyone's identity at the entrance gate to concerts that often draw several tens of thousands of fans.

The management agency's move has drawn a mixed reaction from fans.

“I'm happy because the new rule will discourage ghost fan club members who use other people’s identities from entering the ticket lottery,” said a 16-year-old high school student from Tochigi Prefecture.

Meanwhile, a female fan in her 40s expressed her regret because it will deprive people who desperately want to see the band, even at a high cost, of an opportunity to ever see the group.

Other fans also voiced concerns that they may not be able to sell their tickets when they suddenly become unable to attend a concert.

The new rule aims to allow only people who obtained tickets through an official route to enter the shows, said a Johnny & Associates spokesperson.

The technology to scan ticket-holders at concert venues has already been used at shows of other popular performers such as Momoiro Clover Z, B’z and Mr. Children since 2014.

NEC Corp., the developer of the face-scanning system used for concerts, said that the false recognition rate was only “three out of 1,000” during the system’s developmental phase about six years ago and has since improved further.

ARASHI Concerts in Fukui; the City is Preparing for the Crowd of 30,000 on the 23rd and 24th.

- JR West prepares 5 special trains before and after the concerts to avoid confusion on the 23rd and 24th.

- The number of vehicles at the train station is also expected to increase, so the station will prepare more staffs to guide the passengers and ensure their safety.

- The taxi company of Sabae city has been receiving reservations since 1-2 months prior.

- Hotels in Sabae have been flooded with reservations after the concerts were announced last December that they're almost fully booked for the 23rd.

- Hotels near the train station are all fully booked for the 2 days.

According to Sho-san, the lyrics of this song are a message to their fans. ARASHI wants to do small-scale concerts this time to go back to where they started. Before they got to perform at huge venues like Tokyo Dome and National Stadium, arenas used to be their playground with their fans.

"Tadaima" is like their way of saying, "We never forget our starting line and our fans from back then."

Quite fitting and interesting they kicked things off with Tadaima as they seldom start their concerts with a B-side song

The solos ... I'm surprised they did their older ones and yay for Ohno doing his 1st very solo song from their One album {hard to believe it has been 11 years since One was released}

Also great to see Oh Yeah! and Everybody Zenshin as both were great songs from Time which that album still sets a high benchmark for their subsequent albums

JAPONISM SHOW IN ARENA (Sundome Fukui 4/23):

- 1st show started around 1 pm and ended at 3.21 pm. 2nd show started around 6 pm and ended at 8.26 pm.

- The concert started with the venue in pitch black. The only light was from the screen at the back with "Tadaima" lyrics. Without music, Arashi's voices echoed.... So beautiful.

- Solo performances had the other 4 members as backdancers, except for Matsujun's and Sho-san's. For Nino's "Himitsu", they wore animal costumes like they did during Arafes'13.

- After dancing to Aiba-kun's ridiculous "Disco Star", Nino collapsed. (lol)

- For Sho-san's solo "T.A.B.O.O 2016 ver", DJxMJ appeared.

- "Lucky Man" began with Sho-san's snare-drumming with the Juniors.

- "In the Room" began with Nino's tap dance in the dark, up and down the stairs.

- The choreo for "I seek" was very adorable and funny.

- When Aiba-kun asked during the MC, "Who came to our arena tour 9 years ago?", a few audiences raised their hand.

- Sho-san said he'd been studying hard to qualify for some kind of News Zero program, the result of his test will come out this Monday.

- In their early days, Arashi used to brag about "performing at a Dome" because even though Sundome Fukui is actually a small arena shaped like a Dome, there's still the word "Dome". Even now, they still think of Sundome Fukui as their "first Dome".

SHO: "Does anyone realise that Sundome Fukui is actually our first Dome?"

When they're younger and Arashi's not this popular, they used to dream about doing concerts at a Dome. So when they got to perform at SunDOME Fukui, they're so excited even though it's actually a small arena shaped like a Dome.

SHO: "When we appeared during the concert, we were like, "We finally got to be in a Dome~"."

JUN: "We've been wondering why it's not listed as one of the 5 major Domes."

SHO: "Right? For 10 years, the phrase we'd been dreaming to say was, "Those at the back there, can you see~?" (Because a Dome is usually a huge venue)."

They took almost 8 years to get to perform in an actual Dome and then, even without them dreaming of it, they became big enough to conquer National Stadium. You've come so far, ARASHI-san. ‪#‎JapoArena‬
