Kana is so weird. Like, she started off making cheesy pop music, but then switched to R&B. Now she's back to the cheesy pop. I miss R&B Kana, personally. Her music these days is too same-y. Like, its not terrible, but its not exciting any more either. I don't ever expect her to come out of her safe zone of nice sweet girl, but at least her releases used to be different.

Have a nice day is a bit overwhelming for me. At least Torisetsu and Moshimo had a bit of a fresh feel but this is too pinky for me. Too bad, cuz the mv looks really well.

LOVE the new album it's so summery and light-hearted. Holiday and I wanna see you dance are such jams, can't wait to see them performed. Also love set me free, great ballad moment in a bit more of her older style and I just like the overall sound of it. I will definitely listen to this album a lot this summer. Also this album is really cohesive, moreso than her other albums IMO.

Okay, so...after listening to 'Just LOVE' for like, the past week ( ) I've come to the conclusion - that I'm in total love with it! It actually might be the first album of Kana's that I've genuinely & thoroughly enjoyed, since maybe around 'Thank you, Love'...? But either way, like I've said, I totally enjoyed it. Each song flows extremely well with each other & it's the perfect summer-sounding kind of album. Out of the new tracks, I love "Holiday", "I wanna see you dance" (these 2 are my jams! ) "Set me free", "You & Me", and last but not least: "Have a nice day" (which has the cutest PV ever, btw ) Excellent job, Kana! and I look forward to seeing the album's sales, this week.

Last album "with LOVE" barely sold 100,000. But what will the numbers bring up for "Just LOVE"...?

I doubt ayaka will sell more even if it's a best album. She has only released one album, a cover album and some singles since her last best album. I'm confused as to why this release is even a thing as much as the 10th anniversary is an important milestone

Just Love is a very good album. I agree that it’s her more cohesive album. Some songs are based on the same style but they don’t sound identical.
The prologue and the epilogue are ok to me. They’re not her best of her discography. When I heard Have a nice day for the first time (when the pv is out) I wasn’t fond of it. Finally it’s an uplifting and positive song that is perfect to start the day in a good mood. Kimi ga suki might be her best ballad since If. It’s so sweet and soft. The accompaniment by the piano (and the maracas ? Not sure if it’s that instrument that makes the soft tch tch sound from time to time) let express her beautiful voice. It’s my favourite new songs with Holiday. The beginning of Holiday remind me Taxi movie’s intro. I really like the mix between the different music styles and her Ba do do bap bap...
Wish upon a star is nice too. Set me free reminds the old Kana so much. This songs could be on to Love album.
I wanna see you dance has a good vibe but I’m a bit afraid to see it in live because of static Kana. Hope she’ll dance and not just looks as a pole in front of her dancers >.<.
Life is good is very summery and YEAH has a lively melody.
I'm enjoying this album.

That's pretty impressive and deserved it's a great album and fits perfectly into the this season. Digitally ofc it's #1 on iTunes and gonna be #1 on Recochoku too. Meanwhile Have a nice day is #1 on iTunes and will probably be #1 on Recochoku too once the chart comes out in the evening. she sure is slaying the game rn. And all that with the album leaking 2 weeks early. Waiting for her to have a Dome concert, come on Sony don't sleep too long

No surprise, Kanayan's "Just LOVE" racked up a #1, selling ~126,000 copies*. That is impressive considering the fact Ayaka released a (somewhat weak) best album on the same week! :O

She definitely is and already was last year IMO she's been at the top (doesn't mean #1) since 2010 and the only one on the same level is namie (sells a lot of albums, decent amount of singles, singles get digitally certified, big tours) and we'll see how utada's album is gonna do, can't really compare with her rn.

Other thing: i made a kana song list today, with all her singles, b-sides, album songs and songs she was featured on. Should i post it here? Is anyone interested?
