And drop We are the queens from the next album. Pop and hiphop mixture album would be great. Less "grand" music. It'd be a nice change.

I really wouldn't mind, but for sure, she'd have to try to adapt her singing style. I don't think her voice goes well with "groovy" music (for a lack of a better word) the way she usually sings. Perhaps it wouldn't be bad now that her voice changed so much actually, but it would take a lot of work on her part I'm sure.

I would personally love that because I think she could do some awesome stuff in that syle, but as much as I love My Way, I did think she sounded slightly awkward at times. I feel like she might not be as confident with that type of music which is why she hasn't done it often. She'd definitely need to put her all into it and really adjust her singing style or else it could sound kinda bad/childish But I honestly hope she tries it out one day and really goes for it!

If I had 3 wishes one of them would be for ayu to NEVER EVER do anything remotely close to hip-hop. Yuck.

I'd make sure to use my wishes after Zeke and ask for Nothing from Nothing Ayu to come back. I love that album.

Honestly, I don't think that current day Ayu could pull off anything hip hop or R&B. She doesn't have the swagger. She needs the help of others to even attempt that kind of music.

I really love NOTHING FROM NOTHING but nowadays.... Not sure if she could do hip-hop songs. I would be just glad if she get rid off the EDM songs. lol

I love that sometimes her street style can be very genderless <3 Queen!

That aura of Hip-hop just doesn't mesh well with Ayu's persona and what I perceive to be her values at all. It's very "I'm better than you" and Ayu's not like that. She's more of a "I'm right there with you" type of girl.

^You are talking about mainstream hip hop, which is a very small part of the community as a whole. It pains me that people only want to see that side of the genre/what gets played on the radio. There is amazing stuff if you just know where to look. Kanye and Lil' Wayne are not the epitome of hip hop. It's really an urban form of spoken word/poetry. Which is also very "right there with you".

I don't see how her pretty pretty princess fabulous diva image helped her seem any more relatable than if she were to go more street lol.

And being placed into a box definitely goes against what I believe Ayu stands for.

Mixture music can be extremely melodic, and Dragon Ash is a perfect example of mixing rap, hip hop and rock music. Many of their songs I personally believe could be incorporated into Ayus discography. I personally wasn't suggesting she be the next twerking Nikki Minaj...though if that's what she wanted to do I'd at least give it a chance.

Rap and hip hop can be extremely moving and powerful. And for people who fight so hard for other types of music to be respected, a la trance, it's unfortunate to see other types shot down...I can understand not liking a genre, as I am not a fan of metal and trendier dance music, but I welcome any experimentation. It's about her expressing herself.
