I bought Alive/Iron Hornet off iTunes - what a great single!!

I only have their Deep Forest album but based off their latest single being the best I have heard from them so far, which album would you recommend next? I'm aware that their previous stuff hasn't been produced by Hiroyuki Sawano.

Band will release their next single on September 27th titled "To Know You". A short preview is up on their Facebook page, and, unfortunately, I'm not digging what I hear. Too much incomprehensible English.

Honestly speaking, I enjoy individual tracks more than their full albums. "ETERNAL FLAME" was pretty good all around, though.

I've heard previews of To Know You, and so far, I'm liking it better than either song from the previous single. The melody sounds really sweet and Van sounds good, I'm not even bothered by the Engrish. I hope the full track will turn out great.

I wish that the new Ai no Uta version wasn't a CD-only exclusive. I'm annoyed that I still haven't been able to hear the bonus track from the last single though I bought it on iTunes on the release date. I really don't feel like buying the CD singles just to hear the one track, I hope the bonus tracks would at least leak online...

To Know You is out! Unfortunately I'm not loving the title track quite as much as I'd hoped I would... The song's strongest feature is the melody, it's really sweet and nice, but I have some gripes with the production (I'm not totally feeling the arrangement and the production on Van's vocals in the chorus is not my favourite thing). I like the b-side a lot though, it's a nice slow number! And though To Know You didn't live up to my expectations, I still like both these songs more than the last single.

The single debuted at #14 on the Oricon charts but dropped out of the daily top 30 after the first day.

Sorry for the double (well, triple) post, but it's news time with another single announcement!

New single Keshin no Juu will be released on December 6th! It's another Hiroyuki Sawano production, and the title track will be used as the ED theme for the anime Juuni Taisen: Zodiac War. The single will once again be released in CD only, CD+DVD, and CD+DVD+goods editions, with the CD only edition coming with a bonus track.

I agree, the new song sounds really good. It's nice to hear them do harder rock, it's been a while.

By the way, their official Facebook announced the new single as 「化身の獣（けしんのじゅう）」, so I guess the proper romanisation would be Keshin no Juu. Gonna edit my earlier post and fix that.

New album "ALIVE" to be released February 28th. Will contain a-sides and b-sides, plus four new tracks for a total of ten songs.

A little disappointed that there'll only be four new tracks, but yay new album.

Sorry, please don't get this as an attack towards you, but I hate these kind of comments. Everytime an artist releases an album, especially older artist, people write exactly that this: That they are disappointed by the lack of new songs. Why don't J-Pop fans learn and just stop listening to singles or, if they can't, stop complaining. This is nothing new. Get over this kind of stuff.

Other than that. I for myself haven't listend to the singles so 10 new tracks for me. yay!

And I hate this kind of comment. No one has a responsibility not to express their disappointment when a "new album" contains more old material than new (especially in Do As Infinity's case because to my mind, they usually haven't filled albums with b-sides). Besides that, you probably didn't intend it that way, but your attitude comes off as condescending. People like to follow artists in different ways, and yours is not necessarily better or to everyone's liking. I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but this was bothering me.

Anyway...

I'm happy that a new album is coming out, but to be honest, I hope it closes the book on this Hiroyuki Sawano era because I have not been a big fan. I'm hopeful for the new songs but I hope Seiji Kameda returns as the main producer after this album. I'm still gonna pre-order though, can't have my DAI studio album collection become incomplete!

Lot's of music to look forward to in February, great! I've only heard the song Alive so for me all the songs will be new.

Ouch, not many songs in the album, sounds more like a mini album if you ask me!

However, I am still looking forward to it. I have previously bought Alive/Iron Hornet which I love and this will be the first "new" album I buy from DAI. (I only have Deep Forest)
