Are you a fan of Timmy? Because his drunk and sloppy attacking of fans was not cute but has mostly been given a pass.
While I’m not a fan of that behavior, Ayu gets a lot of shit thrown at her (mostly due to her looks and/or age) and if a well meaning friend sticks up to her because she’s being thrashed I’m not going to judge the friend (Timmy or Naoya) for caring enough about the PERSON that they know to call out the unfair judgement that she receives.

Yes, they’re all entertainers but they’re also people.
People are messy. People fuck up,
But people also have feelings and protect who they care about and if they’re pushed to the edge “professionalism “ isn’t worth giving a damn about.
Maybe you have your standards but Naoya isn’t you, and while you don’t have to praise him you also don’t sound like you’re willing to understand his position.
