Sakurai Sho to host 'THE MUSIC DAY' again this year

NTV's special music programme 'THE MUSIC DAY 2019 ~Jidai~' will air on July 6 from 1:30 pm.

'THE MUSIC DAY' is an annual summer music program that is in its seventh year of broadcast this year. This year's program will broadcast with the theme "era" featuring hit songs from the Heisei Period, artists who will grace the new Reiwa Period, and songs that continue to be sung although the era has changed.

On the upcoming programme, host Sakurai Sho (Arashi) commented, "Even though the times are changing, I hope to make this a day in which people can feel that 'music' is something that doesn't change and continues to shine."

To celebrate ARASHI's 20th anniversary , J&A has organised an ARASHI EXHIBITION "JOURNEY" Arashi o Tabi Suru Tenran Kai

The 1st phrase of ARASHI EXHIBITION "JOURNEY" will be held between 1st July to 30th Nov at Tokyo Sony Music Roppongi Museum while the 2nd phrase will be held in Osaka next Jan

Other prefectures within Japan will be considered to stage the exhibition

Only fanclub members can ballot a spot to view the exhibition

Arashi chosen as special navigator for NHK Tokyo 2020 Olympic/Paralympic broadcast

It's been announced that Arashi has been appointed as special navigator for NHK's broadcast of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Arashi will be appearing in special programmes related to the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic games. On July 24, one year before the Olympics opening ceremony, a programme tentatively titled '2020 Stadium' hosted by Arashi, is scheduled to air.

Then on August 28, a special programme commemorating one year before the Paralympics will air. In addition, '2020 Stadium' (tentative title) will broadcast every month beginning January of next year.

Furthermore, during the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Arashi will report live from the stadium and NHK's special studio.

In all my years buying Johnnys & non Johnnys related releases for almost the past 15 years , 5x20 All the BEST!! 1999-2019 looks set to be the best looking one I will own in due time packaging wise

^ Apparently the demand is so strong that the first batch of the two 4CD+DVD limited editions were sold out, and they're doing a second batch of production of these! But we'll have to wait until August for deliveries to happen.

Had a thought about pre-ordering this - particularly 4CD+DVD version 1 - and last night I decided to pre-order it, but that means I'll have to wait for August! When I first thought of pre-ordering it (the first batch) was already sold out, so although it might be a bit of a wait, I'm glad J-Storm is doing more production of this!

(I didn't own 5x10 that came out ten years ago.)

I own the 3 CDs limited version of All the BEST! 1999-2009 & back then I didn't knew Taiwan press existed

I paid so much for it , it wasn't funny . That's why this time round I didn't even bother to order the Japan press for 5x20 All the BEST!! 1999-2019 cos I know avex Taiwan will make it and sell it for probably 1/2 the cost on what Japan sells

It makes no sense for avex Taiwan not to make all 3 versions of 5x20 All the BEST!! 1999-2019 cos there will be demand for it without a doubt

At 1st I wonder why the 4 CDs + DVD A is priced a lot more than the 4 CDs + DVD B even though DVD B contents are a lot more than the DVD A

Now I understand why . I probably will buy both limited versions when avex Taiwan release 5x20 All the BEST!! 1999-2019 next month
