I'm pleasantly surprised with first-week sales of re(CORD). I fucking love it and had it on re(PLAY) since I received my copies, and it might very well make it in my top 5 favourite albums from Kuu over time. I just didn't expect first-week sales to be so close to AND & DNA considering the fact that those two albums were full of new material and there are only 5 new songs on re(CORD), and all music videos are available for free on YouTube. Maybe this non-stop GOLDFINGER 2019 promo is working, or drama tie-in helped, or the good majority of the fans bought a physical copy.

She always has something to tell in her songs, and it doesn't need to be a tragic personal story, it can be just a mood she wants to portrait, and she always does so.

When people asked me in the past how can I like every single song she releases I used to say "it's probably her voice", however, her voice has changed since then so it was clearly not just that. To me, she's a complete package: she's a great singer, amazing dancer, can sing live, puts out fantastic shows, super creative with her concepts, has unreal energy & charisma, can pull off any music genre, has all types of songs: fun, sexy, sad, deep, meaningful, supportive lyrics, etc. the list of her awesomeness goes on. Also, astral alignment must be a part of that too. lol

Japanese fans are contemplating on social media right now.
They picked the winners for the LINE Music x GOLDFINGER 2019 campaign.
And it looks like they randomly picked from everybody participating with their account instead of going with the ones who really listened to it the most (or went with people with the most percentage change, not plays?).
So even people with just about 2000 plays won, even though there are quite a lot with more.
They didn't release the names of the winners and their playcounts, fans are posting about it themselves and are wondering about it.
They actually didn't say in the news about it that the ones with most plays are the winners, only who listens a lot, everyone just assumed it would be (me included, haha). They did say they announce the winner November 20 through LINE message and they did.
Everybody participating gets an exclusive LINE profile pic at a later date tho.

I'd say with all those results from the 1st week, it seems like more people are streaming the album, less are buying it.

Kenji went with her to Tohoshinki's tour - and he was really happy, cause they performed all 3 songs he wrote for them for their new album.
A successful album, close to hit 180k of physical sales rn.
It's interesting how popular Tohoshinki still is.

But people suspect it being called something like Tokyo & Osaka (a collabo song with all those artists shown?).
