I don't blame her. Music today is not that great, imo. I don't know what I'll do when she retires. I might quit Japanese music altogether.

she actually said she doesn't listen to any kind of music these days. that's what Katsuyuki was talking about lol. that is definitely an automatic playlist, most of these songs she covered/talked about in the past, so...

Honestly, I don't really know if that's what she said... if anyone wants to pick at it again, the answer she gave at the time was not that specific. The question itself was also specifically about her music but then she gave a very vague only somewhat related answer.

Basically it looks like what she said was something like music can often remind her too much of work, but the context of the answer isn't really clear either.

The TA email said Ayu chose the playlist herself.

It doesn't have to do with the quality of the music, she said she just doesn't and it's probably due to the fact that she has so much going on. Yet, it is bad for ones own development to not ay attention to what is possible (and I don't mean what is or isn't trendy).
