The PV for For My Dear... is so special, it feels unlike most of Ayu's pvs...unglossy and real but the scenes with Ayu lipsyncing in the eighties looking cloud musical note set feel a bit out of place. Would have been nice instead to have Ayu singing alone at the bar table she's pictured at. It kinda reminds me of hitomi's problem or progress PV.

Recently came across this fan who blogs and also has a Twitter that analyzes Ayu lives like masa used to analyze the albums. It's pretty intense how deep it goes!

Thanks for sharing that documentary. The file I have of it is of lower quality than that video. I never thought there would be an English documentary on Ayu.

That's how big she was at the time. I imagine you could probably try to request a better video from JVT too, lol! Apparently, Japanese embassies have these on DVD to borrow.

Sometimes I wonder what was like to get to know her in her peak moment. The documentairy summed it up beautifully. She is great, and still doing great!

I love the PV for the exact same reasons! I’m rediscovering her debut era and I think it’s probably one of my favorites, so much nostalgia...

You know what? Ayu can throw a simply apparently fierce song and convey with it a deep meaning. What a proud fan I am. We stan a meaningful pure soul diva. Dreamed a dream drove me nuts. Lol

these are such exciting times. 2 new songs in less than a month! Ohia no Ki already at 1M on youtube, getting good comments and no bad press. I hope we get an album this year. this release pattern is really working for me and I hope she continues releasing digital singles like Hikki does for her albums now. it is so much easier to build up an album release like this. as much as I like TROUBLE, it was a non-event. this era is much better already!

People losing their shit when Taylor Swift releases multiple versions of the same album and call it scummy and here we are with our multiple A BEST, A BALLADS, NEXT LEVEL albums sitting on our shelves lol The western GP have no clue what we have endured for YEARS in J-pop and they're experiencing it for the first time makes me giggle

Watching TA Limited Tour 2016 and loving that Ayu did a quite impressive dance routine in Real Me. It's not often that we see her dance so intensely.

back in 2002, I saw ayu first in the internet. I got obsessed immediately.

then some of my cousins who never were into Japanese culture got to know her too because of this documentary. it was broadcasted on the local TV channel right on these days when I saw her in the internet. and it was a strange timing coincidence. in a few weeks or so I got to see this documentary too and it amazed me
