She speaks that way too. Just saying. She's just trying to be cute and sound young/closer to her former voice IMO and it became a habit.

She's always spoken like that, but incorporating it into her singing is usually during moments of strain. Unless she says herself that she does it only to be cute and to sound younger, I'm going to assume she slips into it when trying to control her voice as well. It's no coincidence this vocal habit began being used more as her ears got worse.

Or when you speak like that all the time you eventually start singing like that too, like a bad influence.

There's honestly no evidence for that claim. I'll agree to disagree, my opinion is mostly based on all the health-related statements she's made over the years and how common it is for singers to get serious vocal strain and damage. I think it's amazing that she is still singing despite the barriers she's transparently talked about.

Did Ayu sing in the final song for FNS? I don't think so, but I didn't watch until the end
