I was never a big fan of Ken Hirai. I like a few songs and admire his unarguably talent, but his last album totally hit me! Beautiful ballads and cool and unique upbeat songs. I'm loving it!

It's never too late to get into Ken's music

His music catalogue is real extensive but his 2 Utabaka best albums are a good place to start

For the 4 CDs version of Utabaka 2 , the 1st 3 CDs consolidates 42nd singles of Ken ie. til Non Fiction while the 4th CD could have been a standalone Ken studio album as 10 different artistes contribute their personal music expertise & made it a great listen

I was a bit surprised when Ken included Boku no Kokoro o Tsukutte yo & Non Fiction in Anata ni Narita Katta as they were already in Utabaka 2

But I like both songs & Non Fiction is 1 of Ken's most personal songs he wrote to date , alongside with others like PAUL & Shashin

Yeah had a hard time getting into him too, but THE STILL LIFE and its singles got me.

For V.I.P. , chef Hirano Remi cooked together with Ken & taught him how to prepare 3 dishes

The 3 dishes are :

- Scallops
- Fluffy garlic chives
- Prawn cutlet

All 3 dishes go well together with sake x)

And I really like the apron that Ken wore , xD xD

Yeah the comical aspects of V.I.P. ―Hirai Ken― is unexpected but so downright hilarious

Up to now some still view Ken as boring but in reality he's very funny without coming as though he try hard being funny

Sony Taiwan will release Anata ni Narita Katta next Fri & they've made the CD + DVD version

Woo stoked & a bit surprised they were able to get permission from Sony Japan to make the CD + DVD version unlike what happened to JAPANESE SINGER & THE STILL LIFE

No bonus item will be given away but that's ok for me x)

I already have the entire Ken Hirai 25th Anniversary Special !! Ken's Bar -ONLINE- & 2019's Christmas Eve held KEN HIRAI Ken’s Bar Special!! In SHANGHAI footages that WOWOW aired but it will be nice to watch Ken`s Bar -ONLINE- without the inclusion of the WOWOW watermark in the file

My copy of Anata ni Narita Katta just came from 5music Taiwan





Quite surprised about it as 5music mailed out my parcel on Mon :O

Also in a 1st , there's no DVD region code for Ken's which's really unusual cos for Sony , they will include it unlike Universal

A bit unfortunate for the CD booklet , none of the pictures show Ken's face :s

Guess that's to play up the same with the album covers too
