I'll always be surprised when I see people here surprised with that. She's a veteran, her songs will not be as big as they were before, but she's a relevant name in Japanese society and in the industry.

I feel like she’s to Japan what Mariah is to the US; even though Mimi’s recent music hasn’t been as popular (with the exception of the Big Energy remix which i’m very happy with the love it’s been getting) she’s a legend in the industry and her classics will be known and appreciated by generations to come
