I was looking at the oricon charts.. and behold:

no... but people in japan loves the collection or best album... (look at a best.. for example.. it sold 4,000,000++ copies i think... it is about 4 millions sopies but i dont remember the exact number) ^^.. n i think once they like their idol they will buy most of the cds or wutever ^^

The reason why Best albums sell is because people who normally aren't fans of the artist buy the album to see what the fuss is about...for example I've never owned a single Britney-related thing in my life but I'm getting My Prerogative.
 same thing goes for A Best. Ayu was all the rage back in 2001 so even non-Ayu fans got it.
