Question Question about overseas version from Hong-kong...

Hello everybody,

I'd like to know if all overseas versions of Ayumi CDs are made both in Hong-Kong and Taïwan ? Somebody told me some overseas versions are only made in Taïwan, so is it true ?

Depends on the artist. Most of Ayu's stuff I think is made in HK in terms of Overseas. I think you can tell the difference by whether their album/single title is written in Chinese. (Which I think is what Taiwan does) But as for Ayu, I think it's split between the two places. I also think there was a thread on this earlier. Maybe somebody else will be able to enlighten you more than I can. =\

Ayu actually has both HK and TW versions of her OS cds. Yesasia's only sent me TW versions, I think... I'll have to look again though. the TW versions usually have the chinese translated title on the obi, but the HK ones leave the english title intact (thank goodness, cuz the chinese translations are horrible x_X)... both have separate inserts with chinese lyrics, but the design for one may be different than the other. The stock numbers are different for them too.

But some CDs are only made in Taïwan and not in Hong-Kong, isn't it ? For example, the first 8 singles (the re-issues) was only manufactured in Taïwan, I have never seen Hong-Kong version for it !

I haven't seen HK versions of them either, but that doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist. Maybe some CDs don't have HK versions, but who knows. If you see a stock number starting with "AVTCDS" for any of those, let me know ^_^

that's a nice choice!! HK version are really better than the taiwan version, cos they are closer to the japanese version.

I dont see huge diffference. The taiwan versions use better cases though to be honest.

the obi is a lot different.
the taiwan version has a very ugly obi, in which the spine is white and blue only for all releases apart from the 8 rereleases. and the taiwan versions have song titles translated to chinese while the hk version do not.
