I dont think they've changed, i mean when i dissect an album lyrically i find the same things throughout them all: lyrics i like, and lyrics i don't like. On My Story i really liked the translations of About You, Game, Liar, My Name's Women, Hope or Pain, and Carols.

Something to throw around: Ayu's lyrics are really dictated on the way she feels at that specific time, i believe. Like, A Song for XX was based more around how she felt about everything in her life at that time. Then I Am... came after the A Best issue, so lyrics were written on how she felt about that. Maybe it's harder for Ayu to write decent, emotion-filled lyrics now-a-days because nothing really momentous has occured. Other than her aknowledging she's merely a product and needs to be viewed that way, and her relationship to Nagase. Maybe that could influence the ways she's writing.

indeed i think her lyrics of MA & my story are not as good as the ones of 'I am' and before. they used to be more meaningful, and more literary, but now they seem more simple.
