I think fairyland is more like "Go to Hawaii! Ayu's been there before" kind of PV! I have to agree with the beautiful scenery and Ayu looking fresh, but as others have said, what?! 240 million yen and this! Lol, I seriously expected MUCH MUCH more!

I love the PV very very much because it's so bright and wow, everything's really gorgeous! The only part I didn't like about the PV was why did they only add in Ayu with the waterfall at the final part? They should have like added MORE of that footage! But I think there were seriously a lot of scenes so yar, I could credit the director for that.

Who knows? Maybe 240 million yen was used to build the island! :p Haha, reminds me of the LOST saga during the 1st episode, like how much people were boasting of how much money was spent on the 1st episode only and the thing turned up to be ...mediocre.

Still, fairyland rocks as a PV! Very clean, very bright and really really nice. It's the problem with the money! I just don't understand why it costs so much? Maybe because they hired the best photographers, cameramen and video editors. Don't forget there's still the helicopter and everything, it's no wonder the PV cost so much. We shouldn't be assuming that every single cent of the 240 million yen goes into the PV! There are still the rest of the costs! (I think Avex referred to 240 million yen inclusive of the preparation work, travel costs and everything)

I almost thought that the house-burning nightmare was over when Ayu was in the water. So I think it's used to make you think it's over.

I love the PV so much. I like alterna and this one a lot without comparison because they're both so different.
oyea, At first glance, I thought her outift was her Real me outfit. lol

Yeah... actually, I didn't care much for this pv either... for the amount of money that went into it, not that much came out ^^;; She's really pretty in this one, and it's cute and happy at the beginning... they dance for a bit, have some good times.... and then their hut catches on fire... everyone runs, but Ayu just stands there and stares... why? All the good memories with her friends are burning up.... why? ^__^ I guess I don't understand... ^^;;;

haha yeah i thought she didn't have very good friends since they pushed her while running away from the fire instead of helping her.

I was expecting the video to be like a "RAINBOW WOW" or a "REAL ME DANCING WOW" but...15 second dancing of ayumi, and 3 minute dancing of everyone else...how...I LIKE ALTERNA MORE

Thoughts on fairlyland PV

I just saw the PV for fairyland with my cousin. Sorry I can't upload it because it's on his computer. But about the PV ... you can clearly see it was a high budget PV but the main cost was more from building and burning down the hut in the jungle rather than the plane tickets. I think the video is kind of confusing and a little too flashy. It jumps around too fast and you rarely ever see Ayu actually singing but the dancing and scenery was nice. I hope to get it uploaded somehow or someone else who has it can do it!

AAAH! The photo at the end kind of ruins it because it comes so suddenly and kind of randomly. Oh well. Great scenery. Hahaha...

I thought the PV was alright... I mean, it doesn't top my favorites list, but I enjoyed it. She looked stunning in it, and it had this sense of serenity to the video. To me, it didn't have the drama and excitement that I've come to expect and love from Ayumi's videos. But I give her props for how gorgeous she was.

I really, really like this PV. I love how it kinda made me go from smiling (especially laughing at how weird the guys looked playing in the water XD I found that so amusing) to being sad when the house burned. I may have cried as my first reaction when the house burned had I not already read about the PV and been expecting it.

I did think it was kinda weird how random the waterfall part was in the middle of the burning house thing. To me it just kinda seemed like an excuse to have Ayu throw an 'oh woe is me but I'm still kinda smiling' pose thing and then splash around and stuff. That might actually mean something, but it's 4 in the morning and I'm too tired to really think about it that much.

As for the whole 'But, like, they spent so much money on such a simple PV OMG! D:" thing, I don't really think it matters. It doesn't have to be so obviously expensive. Not in my opinion anyway. I think it's good the way it is.

Overall I really like the PV. Not at the top of my favorite PVs list (I don't actually have one), but it's still good.

Yes, that's what I saw aswell. They were trying to drag Ayu along with them but Ayu pulled away.

I wasn't expecting much of this pv. I knew there would be the usual stuff, the beach and some dancing. I was actually expecting it to be another dancing pv, because of the making shots. I think it was so expensive because of the video shooting. On the boat, from the helicopter(that's not too cheap) etc. Maybe the house aswell.

and man, I really do LOVE this pv. it's simple and gorgeous. stop whining. who cares about the money!

It really showed innocence, i LOVED her make up..., the dancing was great but of course, the dancers are [they've taken LOADS of classes, ballet, jazz, the works].

About those tan line, I think it was intentional, to show that children don't try to look at their best,as adults do, because they would much rather play and dance rather than spend hours in front of a mirror , the her clevage looked scary too, scarier than the alterna PV

My predictions were correct, I did and do,in fact, enjoy fairyland better after watching the PV [same w/ CAROLS but I didn't expect liking it xD]
I agree with stardusties. I actually liked it more AFTER seeing the PV. Actually, it was really seeing it in HQ. I at the HQ version. God, the burning house scene!

I also agree about that dancers freeze at the chorus!! GREAT cinematography!

after talking with some other ayumi geeks like me, the song sounds too much like Angel song, in fact when i want to remember how it sounds i think of angel song first then it pops into my mind what the chorus was

240 million yen is like how much? 2.1 million USD? for 2.1 million i could make a better PV filming ants and using special effects rather than lets go to hawaii and make suck for a video

-shrug- she just knows how to blow money away

The PV was just so random. The scenes and all were beautiful, but eh The only entertaining part was when the friends ran from the fire and pushed her.

I'm unlucky-I haven't see it yet alive, only the screencaps, buy you can't rate PV by screens only, you must see it in action.
