i've ever heard from my teacher that this can occured when you lay down (sleep act) while crying....so..your tears don't fall down as normal as usually...and one of the impact is on nose and your mouth will feel really bad n smelly

Aaawww, poor ayu! I'm kinda stuffed up myself too actually.

It's strange, a cold is such a minor thing in the states but in japan everyone gets so worried

I think this is the second time ayu's had a cold since i became a fan....

Ayu cancels a-nation '05 appearance in Hokkaido
From the a-nation webpage and translated by me:

Hamasaki Ayumi, who was scheduled to perform today, is sadly unable to attend due to a case of acute sinustis and acute pharyngitis. To all who were expecting her performance, we are terribly sorry about this, but we seek your co-operation and understanding in this issue. If you have any enquiries, please feel free to contact WESS at 011-614-9999 (Weekdays, from 1100 to 1800).

Ayu's comment on the a-nation page, again translated by me:

To all who were worried for me after hearing my voice on a TV music programme last night, all who are worried upon hearing this piece of news today, and above all else, all of you in Hokkaido who have been expecting me, I'm really sorry.

I am unable to attend today's a-nation performance at the Makomanai Open Stadium. But, please let me make a promise with all of you, that I'll definitely come back and do a live in Hokkaido. Because I have nothing left at all if my songs are removed from me, therefore I am thinking of taking time off to let my body recover for now so that I'll be able to smile and walk together with everyone through my music. Everyone, I'm truly sorry. And, please, don't worry for me. My spirit's still as strong as before.

Lastly, to all organisers involved in the planning of this concert, I am truly apologetic about causing so much trouble. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all of your co-operation and well-wishes.

Hope she gets well soon.

No, a-nation shows are not being cancelled; it's just her appearance on the show, which technically makes Every Little Thing the last performer in Hokkaido for the day. The next perf's a week from now, at Port Messe Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture.

Well, sorry if I took that the wrong way, then.

I'd say unlikely - she's the biggest star of the show, and if she doesn't appear I'd imagine quite a few people would want to refund their tickets or something. Besides, Avex wouldn't let her rest for that long, would they.

I don't know. Last time Mocchi got acute bronchitis, they gave her around 2 weeks, and then it was back to touring for her. The coughing lasts for a few weeks, so it would've affected her singing to some extent, I guess.

Poor Ayu~ I hope that she gets better soon.. but a rest will be nice for her.. She obviously works so very hard for Avex, herself and for her fans and she makes music so often..
