"cardinal sins" is a very common phrase and it means primary, fundamental sins. I believe that among Catholics (correct me if I'm mistaken) the cardinal sins are "Anger, Gluttony, Pride, Sloth, Envy, Greed and Lust". Please try searching for the phrase on google.

I stand corrected.
I feel pretty embarrassed now. I'd never heard of the phrase. I've heard it referred to as the "seven deadly sins", but not "cardinal sins". I guess Ayu is just well-versed. Thanks for pointing it out, though.
