[2006] Does Ayumi time her releases with the products she endorses?

I've been wondering about the whole CM process.

I guess a commercial tie-in for a product or company pays better , since they pay her to use her 'likeness' in TV and print ads and whatnot ?
does the production company pay an artist to use their songs as themes for animes and dramas , or is the publicity & sales boost all the artists get ? I doubt they'll pay that much at least ...
