Maybe they're emo-cute. Looks like pants that a character from questionable content would wear.

Hot Topic sold alot of the wardrobe from the Dearest PV (the black & pink outfits with the jeweled bandannas and the playboy necklace... .my sister has the black bandanna exactly).
