He probably wants to buy this particular D-Snap because of the way it's shaped; the more recent D-Snap cameras are thin and tall (almost like a credit card), while the one that sora wants is different in appearance.

I kind of wonder why Panasonic didn't continue making D-Snap like that; I think it looks kind of cute that way.
