Had to register, that immel's post was immens Much of help from you
We live quite close to eachothers so i will have to ask about phones, did you have an 3g phone or a "regular" one?
I'm trying to get to Tokyo in 2007 to see Ayu perform, but things are still quite open so many things waiting for solving

Cell phones from the US/Europe does not work at all in Japan, sadly, you have to get a new one when you are there, it's quite common to hire one for a few weeks.

With some luck I might see you at AT07, maybe ?

on the cell phone thing... almost all phone made today have 3 gms signals (or called TriBand phones).. and you can buy unlocked versions of almost any phone. An unlocked phone means it has 4 gms (or QuadBand) signals and can be used on any cell phone service worldwide. I have the Motorola RAZR, it has 3 gms signals, and can be used worldwide. It is called a world capable phone. You will have to call your service provider to find out their international rates for the country you are going to. I have Cingular Wireless and they charge $1.25 for any out going call I make while in Japan. The rates for incoming calls are the same as the American rates. Text messages are .10 cents for incoming and .50 cents for out going while in Japan. I live in America BTW.
With technology now, you can use just about any phone in any country, regardless of where you bought it and live.

ayu1m and immel, hopefully you`ll see me at AT07 too

edit: Are tickets more expensive around the holidays?

Why is that? I mean it`s a good thing they become cheaper so u won`t have to spend so much but why?

EDIT :
The concert was really awesome !! First one, and I hope not the last I will see ! I'm a fan of Ayumi since only few years so I think it's a good experience

I took pictures of some goods at the entrance of the stadium, I guess it's not what you asked ...
I apologize first, I know I'm a bad photographer.

I only bought the fan, I'm poor and I think it's the most classic goods
I think I would buy the cap if it was the normal logo, I don't like this one with the heart (too feminine)

These pictures are amazing. Thanx for sharing

Also, where`s the thread about bringing cameras? Immel, what camera did u use?

Something you can do is bid on a ticket on auctions and have them shipped to the address you'll be arriving at when you go to Japan.

Arriving 2 weeks before the performance I guess it would be OK. 10 days I feel is a bit too little to be 110% sure you'll get the tickets you want.

Did you plan this earlier or was it thanks to this thread?

Couldn`t u just get them to ship u the tickets to ur house in USA? Or is it just easier to get the tickets after u arrive in Japan? Or maybe http://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/ only ship them to Japan. hmmm...

@Ayu_Fan_00 - please edit your last post instead of double posting. You can delete one post by hitting "edit" and copy the content of it to the other.

The reason of the price drop is because not enough interested people go to those ticket reseller stores, so in the end they get desperate to sell their last tickets.

It's likely that tickets around holidays are more sought after so they might be more expensive.

Yes, I live in Sweden, and no, ticket resellers probably do not ship outside Japan. To know if they do I would have to be able to speak Japanese in order to call them and ask, which I do not. Yahoo auctions also never ship outside Japan, for some obscure reason... it's probably that barely anyone who sell there speak decent english .

The thread about cameras is linked at the end of the first post.

I recently became very interested in going to the AT2007. I calculated my savings and I'm sure I can come up with around $4000CAN by around April.

The only thing thats frustrating me is these crazy ticket costs of flights to Tokyo by air canada. They're like $2200 round-trip PER PERSON. That's outrageous... Does anyone know where I might be able to find some more reasonably priced flight tickets?? I'd be flying from Halifax, NS, just so you know...

Is the $2200 a straight flight from CAN to Tokyo?
I found out the prices from my country(fin) to Tokyo and it was 690€ which is
like $890 quite a difference. Could it be cheaper if you would change planes in Europe :?

Try checking out if British Airways have any routes from any airport near you, it might be a lot cheaper, even if you'll have to travel further to reach the airport.

It gets costy as soon as it's not BA you're flying with ^^.

hm. I checked the BA website and in order to go to Tokyo with them I'd have to go Halifax -> New York -> London -> Tokyo. That's so many transfers (and scary ones...). Plus, the price wouldnt be that much less than Air Canada, because of all the transfers.

Hm. So expensive... so the tickets for two people would be at LEAST $4000.. that's like, my entire budget.. ouch..

If I waited and went to a-nation 07, I'd have enough for the flights and probably like $1500 for tickets + whatever I want... and it might be more convienient because of no school. But that's not a real ayumi concert and I'd only get to see her for like 4 or 5 songs instead of like a full awesome concert.... if I'm gonna go all the way to Japan, mainly just to see Ayumi, then I'd like to actually make the most of it and go to her concert 1 or 2 nights...

ugh. stupid air canada...
now I dont know what I wanna do...

I think I COULD manage to get to Ayumi's Arena Tour 2007, but it would take me ALL I have and I would have to work VERY VERY much and very hard to get to it. Would Ayumi's concert really be worth the extra fuss?

Oh, ow, yea, those extra transfers hurt a lot... I'm happy to be living so close to London, which is where it's (comparably) really cheap to fly from. I actually don't know what you can do, travelling expenses take up so much of the cost... sadly.

edit...
just noticed that BA's prices has gone crazy (thanks micster), right now it seems Austrian Airlines or Air France has got the cheapest tickets for flying to Tokyo, from Europe at least.

heh i see many posts have been made since my last visit.yes i did mean flight tickets.and it is as Evolution says, the prices on aircanada do range in the 2200-2400 CDN so it isn't cheap.
this is my main concern,as the rest will probably fall cheap enough.
i do think that people in england have it cheaper, one of my friends who lives there told me about it.
and i do believe that the closer you live to tokyo, the cheaper it is.since it takes less time and thus less gas for the plane to get there.

oh yeah,i forgot to say....those are the cheapest fares.if you take something like first class, you'll have to pay around 5000 CDN!!!

btw,where are you from evolution?
