I just labeled it as gossip because I wasn't sure if it was true exactly. I think it's less of a rumor/piece of gossip now and is more.. fact..

You can see Ken Hirai if you scroll down to the TALK ASIA week of 12/4 - 8.. Ayu is going to be at the very end of that schedule most likely [on the 8th] since there's like, still no one there. XD

If she is appearing on the show, does that mean she will speak English during her interview? Wasn't she learning English on her big break?

CNN.com will always have an English / whatever language they have transcript of the interview for anyone that can't see the interview [unlikely since Ayu fans are like.. yeah.. XDD]

But they said she was being interviewed by a "foreign" reporter. I guess meaning American? And I wish they would just subtitle her if her English accent is unrecognizable lol

I think they mean foreign as in someone who isn't Japanese, but is asian and only knowns English or something..

I don't want to doubt this but..
the mysterious figure for the 8th...
looks more like a manly figure than a female...
and ayu is quite petit....
plus there's 3 bubbles/circle under the shadow
ayu's name has 5 character
but that one has 3....
unless they put the chinese version of ayu's name
then that'll work...weird to see that though
chinese letters in a japanese site...
