It is, but I think the process is extremely painful, as the ink is placed deep in the dermis..
Learning about that stuff in anatomy is so funk. :p

Thanks for the heads up! I love tattoos, even though I'm not really in favour of mainstream designs. I have to say, though, the way the original winged heart was converted into Pegasus is pure ownage. It's just so awesome. The article of Ayu and Nagase did not strike me as genuine months back, but the proof is on the table and my eyes sure can't deny it now. Oh, man, the tattoo! Plain shiny awesomeness. Kudos to truehappiness!

Why would Ayu go through the trouble of getting a real tattoo if she's going to cover it up every time she's in public? Doesn't make much sense...

At least the tattoo's tasteful. I'm not really a big fan of tattoos but whatever floats your boat is none of my concern.

I think her tatoo is just the A sign and the wing, it seems more darker than the other wing. The unicorn (I think) is just fake. You can tell that the A and the first wing are more deeply etched into Ayu's skin (it seems).

Inspirelova, if you read everything it says that the unicorn is indeed fake, it's only the A, and wing, that is real.

Why is everyone ignoring this pic that was posted on the first page of this thread? Although it is entirely possible that Ayu was airbrushed for this performance but it just doesn't make sense to have a tatoo and then cover it up just for a Heyx3 performance...

I think it makes perfect sense to cover it up for a Hey!x3 performance, if she's not intending to reveal it soon.
The tattoo is real, I know that, right now, I do. Everyone will have to choose for themselves if they believe me or not, I'm not even sure I believe myself, but hey... life's interesting.

I agree that it's pretty stupid to get a tattoo if all you are going to do is make other people's lives difficult by asking them cover it up with makeup and so on.
Also, to get a tattoo removed, they use a laser that fragments the pigments of the tattoo into small particles that are then removed by the immune system. Black ink is easiest to remove. Depending on the colors and how deeply they have been drawn into your skin, you may or may not be successful in completely removing the tattoo. You need to have laser treatment done several times (6-10 for professionally drawn tattoos) and each session can cost around $250-$850, so you may end up spenind a lot of money. I don't think it is excruciating...they say it's like having a rubber band snapped against your skin. Fun facts for ya. =D

Hm I wonder if its true.. and if it is.. I believe she would cover it with makeup until she wanted to revealit..
but then again it takes awhile for a tattoo to heal correct? so in order to show it recently it would have had to been done before so it could heal and look good enough..? Dunno.. I know next to nothing about tattoos because the thought of the pain of getting one scares me.. ^_^; |

If it was made it was probably made quite some time ago, when there was no TV shows or concerts going. My guess is during her visit to the US together with Tomoya. I think it doesn't take more than a week before it stops being sore, I think it stops bleeding almost immediately after it's finished, I don't really know either.

I don't think there's anything wrong with her wanting a tattoo, getting it and then covering it up for performances and stuff. Sure it causes more work to cover it up but she got the tatoo for her and tomoya's love. That may not be something she wants to broadcast to everyone (aside from the little hint with "Secret"). She can enjoy her little mark of love when she's alone or with Tomoya and when it's time for work, cover it up. Since we're not seeing absolutely everything that goes on during her life, there's plenty of time it's not covered up to make it still worth having.

you guys should check out the song Secret's translation and check out where Ayu references "wings"...maybe it's a clue? Last edited by neokyotodragon; 29th November 2006 at 03:54 AM. |
