Exactly. "Yume no Uta" had zero replay value for me. While both BoA and Ai-chan's ballads were simply wonderful and powerful.

I really want BoA of Ai to win. BoA's been nominated a lot for the award already, but haven't won even once, and Winter Love is a very good song. Renai Shashin is a very good song too, and Ai composes, arranges with someone else, and writes the lyrics for the whole song too which is very impressive.

Yume no uta is very boring, anything from 4 hot wave or unmei could've replaced it's nomination but...most likely it's going to win the award. I thought Butterfly was a terrible song, and that Promise / Star was a lot better.

Honestly though...I want Ayu to make a come back soon like Mr. Children, who won the award in the early 90's, and then won it again 2 years ago xD.

Boa, Kumi, nor Ai deserve the award for those songs. Even though I liked "Yume no Uta" and "Winter Love" well enough ("Renana Whatever the Hell it's Called" had about as much life as a soap dish...sorry soap dish), but their quite forgettable. Can't even remember how "Winter Love" goes. I hope the competition provided more deserving material.

EDIT: What exactly is this award based on?

I'm not liking this years nominee..Along with some of the song choices.x.x
But out of all those artist, I would like BoA to win. She hasn't been really recognized this year when she's been working really really hard! But as we all know, Koda's going to win.. Recordo Taisha is mostly based of popularity.
=__= But my biggest complaint: Why isn't Mika or Mr.Children on there!? =o

Yeah...they don't have a HUGE deciding factor...it has a lot to do with how popular the song is publicly at the time of judging. BoA has a shot. With Ayu out of the running, and with the popularity of "Winter Love" it might just happen!

as much as i think 'Winter Love' should win this, i had afeeling that this award could go to 'yume no uta'.

oh well, at least not w-inds's 'boogie woogie', i had nothing against them, but NOT this song!!!!

Gawd, please let BoA win....I can't take another song like "Yume no Uta "to win again. I think Kumi did terrible in that song...><...and I'm just of Kumi winning awards for sucky songs like "Yume no Uta" BoA really blow me away with "Winter Love". It's been one of my fave songs of this year. Anyway, I hope BoA and Kumi don't but I do congratulate her on being nominated even though it wasn't no surprise.........
