I agree with some of the suggestions that were already stated!

1- She needs to perform several songs. Like right now, she's only singing "JEWEL". Therefore, people would think that "JEWEL" is sort of the reflection of the album, which it isn't. A performance of "1 LOVE" and "momentum" here and there would be nice.
2- Perhaps less mu-mo downloads.
3- Drama tie-ins.
4- Better first-press "gift".
5- Breaks. Not exactly "long breaks" because Ayu doesn't really want that. But breaks like the one she did for "Secret". With better promotion.

Though, it as come to the point where we have to expect lower sales. I mean, it has been over 8 years now that she sings. And overall sales are all going down. Mostly because of mp3 and internet downloads.

Acting is gd...

Ayu is predictable? BF is so not predictable, kiss o' kill as well. Yea its rock but different from the usual. until that Day... wasnt that predictable too.
We didnt noe she was a ghost if we didnt watched momentum PV to the end. We wouldnt even noe she pole-danced until we saw the first few pics in ViVi and got that insight
Ayu predictable? i think not. On the other hand, i think Koda is predictable. She is bound to some sexy stuff in her upbeat song PVs.

Where are you guys getting the idea that taking a break will increase sales, when for just about everyone, they decrease sales?

Like DerrickRocks said, there isn't really anything she can do. She had her time, she's past her time, and that's just the way things work.

i don't think there is a way =X if there is a way out, avex would have used that method long ago (the promotion sector of avex is not there for nothing!!!) and the sales of performers such as namie and ELT wouldn't have drop over the years the sooner you anknowledge the fact that ayu's sales is declining, the better. Afterall, we support ayu because of her music or for her sales?

Oh, no that's not what I meant. If that's what I meant then I would've just said it. LOL.

She could adopt Kuu. Cuteness! Or she could do a Madonna style 'adult' book. Or she could give that idea to her new daughter

Didn't she say in the CNN thing she didn't actually even want to take a break. So that doesn't seem likely. I think the asia tour alone will do it. She's never before had outside Japan promotion like that.

What could really make her raise sales again would ba a tie in to a widely popular movie and/or drama. But which ones that will be hits arent predictable at all.

A drama tie-in could help, but that would only really be limited to the specific single. As for overall sales in the year, I don't think there really is much to do.

I think we go the idea of break = more sales from her "&" single? Wasn't it her first single in 10 months since Voyage? Then again, it was a triple a-side single with amazing PVs. =/

I think that Ayu needs to stick to one image for a while. And more more more singles!!! No more albums for a while. Oh and noooo more secrets. That whole them kinda pissed me off actually...

It is acceptable.

I think it is too rush for her to release every album every year.
she just spent 1 month for mu
maybe less than 1 month for Secret..
I don't really think releasing quickly is the problem, I mean, LOOK AT KUMI! I mean, her album is going to sell like hot cakes with what? The two new songs she has on the album, lol (exageration). Ayu has only released 2 singles this year and I think maybe that hurt the sales rather than help that of Secret...?

Another question as well... Is Ayu really that bad when you compare her to other artist of this time? You can't compare to older sales because NOBODY sells like that! I mean, aside from Ku, who is really that much better than her. Actually, Ku isn't a WHOLE LOT bigger really - her sales aren't that much higher. (miss)understood sold more than Ai's "LOVE COOK" and just short of ULTRA BLUE! If you look at the artists of now and how they compare, she isn't doing that bad!

A drama is a good idea. In a movie, people won't be able to listen the song so often. It won't have time to grown on people.

A good drama ending, I think Voyage worked well for My Little Chef.

I was thinking more along the lines of the Madonna/Britney/Christina stunt

but hanging Kuu on a cross would be very good.

must add that Kuu has already passed her time as well. It's not like she will ever outsell her 2005-6 stuff. She already peaked in those 2 years
