This - "a million hit song and that 曲 often sung at a karaoke place" - kinda suggests there'd be SEASONS on it. I can't think of any other song that's known for being popular in karaoke...

No, it doesn't say anything about ballads at all. It says "painful/heartbroken songs" for the black version, and "bright/cheerful/upbeat songs" for the white version. That means they may both have rock songs as well as softer ballads on them.

Yes, it says it will include both single and album tracks.

It seems weird to me that it would include tracks from "I am..", because A BEST already covered that. But still, I won't complain -- it was her best album.

sob I want both but can only buy one since my sis said she wanted the A BEST 2 ~BLACK~, thinking of ordering CD+DVD2 since it will come with CDL n_n even though I have already the PV's in dvd

I can't help but worry about the sales, but still, I think I'm putting that aside behind my mind. I'm probably going to get both best albums when they are released. These two are definitely worth the get! The amount of material is huge and I think releasing two albums as part of the BEST totally makes sense. Considering A BEST was released in like 2001?

i find ayu a little weird, she don't really like a BEST-OF album (remember A BEST) and all of a sudden, here are 2 BEST =X

nevermind about that, i'm sure i'm going to get both, considering the amount of material they have

However, i'm still a little concern about her string of #1, waht if the second one fail to grab the top spot the next week?

She didn't like the first BEST release becouse Avex made the decision to release it, without discussing it with her. She didn't want to release the first one, I belive this time it was her decision.

I'm wondering if the second DVD (CDL footage/backstage CDL footage) isn't first press...

I hope both CDs go to #1 and sell heaps! Maybe people will buy Black in the first week and get some money first to buy White in the second week!

But it's an interesting marketing tactic, for sure. It's a first in Japan I suppose, to knock out two greatest hits album in a week.

And Kumi only managed two in a year.

I really can't wait for the hits collection. I suppose all those 3 million fans that were missing after the release of A Best might be back.

I'm surprised that bbs placed Ayu 2nd on the list. The reason they order the artists' names is to tell us who will most likely sell the most out of the new releases...

Secret was a bland ayu pop-rock album (I LOVe it, but it's the usual ayu, nothing out of the ordinary imo). People in AHS get impressed because it's loaded with rock. In Japan it was probably just yet another ayu album.

LOL, this time it's Ayumi versus Ayumi, not Ayumi versus Hikki.
Knowing that Ayumi has had a tendency to get to #1 in the second week if it's a huge battle (Boys & Girls, anyone?), maybe she can pull it off when she's her own competition as well.

The only "I am..." song covered by A BEST was "M", because it was released after "M" was released. I remember I even thought it was cheap of avex to include M on I am..., but it was for the best I guess.

Possible scenarios:

The same album gets 2 weeks #1.
Different albums get 1 week #1 each.
No album gets #1 in both weeks
1st week: no album gets #1, 2nd week: 1 album gets #1 (and vice versa)
