Well I'm looking at my COUNTDOWN LIVE file from 2005-2006 and it was downloaded Jan 9th, 2006. =p I think they actually show it live?

No, the DVDs are what come out months later.

The TV version is aired live during the 12/31 performance.

I can't wait to watch it. They should let you stream that channel or something, it would be so cool.

First I have to say that in my eyes, all who can go to arena tours or cdl's of Ayu, are the luckiest persons in the world....i'm living in Germany, Europe! and it's really hard to get tickets here or fly to japan....all very expansive....
~~ these are the reasons why I had to cry yesterday @ 5 pm 'caus when it's 5pm here it's midnight in Japan....i think i'm a real MANIAC...all my heart is in it...and i think you can't believe what i would give just to see Ayu.....but...
back to Topic ~~

The Setlist sounds great and now i know why this was called "BEST OF"...there are so many things that were the same some time ago...for example the fountains that were titled "the best boys and girls performance ever seen"! And I must say the songs she sung are really great ones....but in my eyes some of them should be changed out caus i don't think that "ourselves", "Never Ever", "Free & Easy" and "independant" where those really big hits....but let's see, perhaps this setlist gives us some information for the new A BEST 2!!!!

Ayu? I love you with all my heart, you're definitely the best and in my eyes you'll stay it for ever!

I think they spent more on this concert, since the stage was more elaborate than before.

Even though it's technically 'recycled' performances, it still costs more money to do so at the budget that a CDL has [which explains the more expensive ticket prices..]

Some of them were the same,(ourselves, fly high, all the songs around the countdown) some were slightly modified(no way to say, a song for xx outfits), and one was new. (durring never ever she was wearing a pink and black corset w/ black shorts)

That's what I'm thinking. It said the Best albums will include singles from Evolution on, and all of those came out after Evolution.

And yeah, there shouldn't be a long wait to download the concert. It was aired live.

yea even though they might be reusing the costumes and stuff but I think overall this cdl is more expensive than her previous ones. I like the red and gold royal theme for the stage. I also dont think its rushed....she had to select her previous perfornances, try to combine them with the rest into one concert. Compared to her previous countdown lives, this one she has to change more outfits and has more stuff going on....coming down from ourselves, going up with the loop for free & easy, breaking bars for never ever, fountain for boys & girls, etc I think this concert might not be as special as her other ones coz we know already what to expect for most of the songs but it will still be entertaining to watch Thanks for the review!

oh just one question! Did it have those short clips in between?

Let's see, Ourselves had the video that played at the mtv performance, fly high had the video from 03-04, and a short video played of the Naturally performance from Arena 02 before the start of Never Ever (showing her being captured.)

Also one more thing I forgot to add, Ayu dances more at this concert than at any other I think.

Free&Easy is definitely ONE of her best songs, no arguing there.

She mainly sang her happier songs (few exceptions). This is probably the reason why the CDL will be included in the WHITE version of A BEST 2.
(It's a countdown so she has to sing cheerful songs, ne?)

I checked the Harajuku and Ueno shops once I got here and they were insanely expensive - even more than what I paid for average to bad seats. It is definitely much cheaper getting tickets for the Arena Tour.
That really is expensive... but I suppose they're cheaper in regular sales, like when you order them as TeamAyu member?... Ayu's site doesn't have any prices stated, that's why I'm asking...

Avex saved money on a few staff-people to design her concert, but they spend ALOT more money on getting all those elaborate stage-settings and effect in the concert. This is certainly the most expensive countdownlive Ayu ever did.

And altough the SONGS are pretty much old, over and may not seem so exciting anymore, I'm sure that once we see this concert most people agree that this concert is basically....complete. Hence, it's a "BEST of COUNTDOWN LIVE".

I, for one, can't wait for pics and videos!
