Those pictures are photoshopped... You'd be amazed to see all those things they do with a picture before it's being published... Enlare the eyes a bit, change skin color to a tan-fresh looking one, they color the eyeballs more white and the iris is edited, and much more things... So her eyes are 99% probably enlargened a bit with computer techniques at those first pictures in this thread

So big eyes makes someone a freak, hm? Please! It's not like Ayu is the only person in the world who has big eyes, whether the eyes are big because of surgery or are just naturally like that. Besides, I thought everyone got over this dumb subject all ready?

Ayu has gorgeous eyes - I love `em!! They are her trademark and she looks beautifull with them - I think the "eye surgery" she may have had is called "Blepharoplasty/Double Eyelid Surgery" It creates a eyelid crease and that's all - I've seen pics and the eyes don't get bigger - I think that Ku has also had this done - her eyes look normal - Ayu just has big eyes that's all like Hitomi Takahashi's eyes they are big that's why her parents named her Hitomi (Eyes)

Personally, i think her eyes are gorgeous. Sometimes they can look like satellite dishes, but i still think they are beautiful.

Ayu has the most beautiful eyes i've ever seen.

everytime i show my friends a pic of ayu, they say "her eyes are so big that they look as if they are gonna fall out"!!!

I think she started out with pretty large eyes, and then she had eyelid-splitting surgery. It's actually quite common in Asia (as many Asians are born with single-lidded eyes; myself included), so all the fuss that Ayu had plastic surgery is really unnecessary. Plus, Photoshop and mascara go a long way....I think they should tone done the photo manipulation now and then; there's no need to make her look like an anime character when she has large eyes to begin with.

Ayu's big eyes are like kinda a trademark of her already apart from her high pitch 'i's in her singing.

Without make up, I think her eyes are considered relatively big and with eyeliner, eye shadow and fake lashes, it just makes the eyes stand out alot more.
Umm, and I do think freak is kinda an overused word to describe ayu, hehe.

I don't think that she had a surgery, a year ago or so I did, though. make-up can do a lot and I've seen a photo of her without make-up. she really looks quite normal, okay, her eyes are big, but she doesn't look tood different from her children photos. and she's lost a lot of weight, that makes it different once again I like her eyes. especially the mascara, it's so... tidy ^^
