I thought when I log in today there will be a 1000 new posts and the covers/tracklist be out.. Did it ever happen that the covers or tracklist were hidden until release?

But then it'd be virtually impossible to promote the single beforehand. They need at least 2 weeks. Remember, they put up billboards, run commercials, etc.

From a business standpoint it wouldn't be a good idea.

unless.... having no prepromotion causes the Crossroad single to be sold more (because that's the main focus), in which it's better to promote L after its release instead of before..

That doesn't really make sense. Avex's goal is likely to get both of them to sell moderately rather than one sell slightly better and the other to fail miserably. Without any promotion (and yes, covers and tracklist are promotion because they help build hype), that is exactly what is going to happen.

Avex isn't dumb.

They'll probably start releasing everything next weekend.

Yeah, I was a little excited for L when it was first released but that wore off. I'm kinda interested in crossroad but we have radio rips and a pv for kuu's single so that's been getting all my attention, plus I've recently discovered hitomi so I'm really into her right now.

It seems like they're balanced strategy, so they don't want to ruin some things out - putting it like about a couple of weeks of gap between the "more details" announcements gives a bit more headroom as Avex waits for declining pre-orders for Ayu's 49th single to ensure the 50th single pre-orders go really well, as pre-orders usually account for first-day sales...

I would have been so excited if the covers, or at least the track list was out already XP
but no we have to wait! ahhh! the wait is killing me
At first i really didnt like crossroad covers but looking at them again they've grown on me which is why im going to order 2 versions instead of 1 yay for good covers!

Well yes. Rody! was saying it would be cool if they waited until a day or two before L's release to announce anything, and I was simply explaining why that'd never happen.

I also can not wait. I'm checking this forum every two hours on a day, in hope that there's more information about L, lol. Gotta take a break.
