yeah, it's kind of like the other artists forums where we're just waiting for more news and talk about other stuff to pass the time
and if there is any news i'm sure TH will update the first post right away so people shouldn't have to dig through all these pages

Oh yes, I could just do that. I cycle through several pages looking for a ray of light everyday! I don't care to read about Namie or old covers or how lame Shimomura and S/S is in a thread for a new single ( ).

I never said that ONLY hardcore fans know. I simply pointed out that that person was a hardcore fan. Completely different. And once again, never assume that someone IS SUPPOSE to know what you know. I didn't realize it was this bad. At one point in everyone's life, they know NOTHING.

I guess when Ayumi puts "TA" in her titles, she really means it. Everyone else excluded.

Anyways, I'm glad that I did check in, because I had no idea about the new single until, well, now. So, yay! I can't wait! I can't wait to hear it. As of late, Ayu's winter ballads have been really good.

My fave ballads are JEWEL, Days, Curtain Call and Dearest...if the new songs are anywhere close to these I'll be so happy! I've gotten back into her ballads the last week or so, I keep playing my faves at work! o_O

Yea, I love Curtain call, too. I don't know why so many people hate it so much. It's a pretty powerful and touching song. I wouldn't mind if any of the new songs were along that line either.

^I don't know about that. curtain call was such a beautifuly simplistic song that was such a perfect ending to an album. I don't know if I want that again. like making a second "M". it wouldn't make sense to me. Some songs, imo, are fine the way they are and shouldn't be reused/sampled.

I agree. Curtain Call was so beautiful, partly because it was so simple and something pretty different from the ballades Ayumi usually does. I don't want another Curtain Call. It will take a little away from it.

I also really enjoy Curtain Call!! (I guess it has more fans than we think!)

I think I would want one song to have a powerful arrangement, with strings etc, and one to be a simpler arrangement. I felt it was like that with GREEN/Days, and it worked really well!

90% of ayus songs have strings in it...not only the ballads...even many of her rockier and pop songs do

Is it really wrong of me to feel like Ayu is flicking us non TA members off? Like they're getting songs dedicated to her, NEXT LEVEL was inspired by their support, and whenever she thanks her fans, she doesn't -she thanks the TA members. And now, a part in a song title? She must know, that she has got international fans by this point, and I adore and support her, even though I am no TA member.

I hate that club, I don't feel like I need to pay out extra to call myself a "true-Ayu-fan" and get a lil' badge and some extras. I buy her albums, tell everyone how much her music means to me, and I respect her. I feel like she does not care in the least for her non-TA member fans.

Well lately I've been feeling like well.. she hasn't really been thinking about her fanbase but more about the people who surround her I mean she's happy to close herself off from the rest of the entertainment world by always using the same dancers and same photographer/director for every single thing she does.

And she talks about TA as if her fanbase is based ONLY there because she's always bragging about them. Which I think she's being rather closed minded. No offense to any fan but I'm sad to say but lately she's sounding self-centered and spoiled, as if she's ignoring the rest of the world. Which is sad when in the past she was so down to earth and I loved her honest.

In Japan, if you like an artist, and you are a fan of the artist, you will most likely enter the group of the artist, for example TA. For example, usually, TA people can read the diary, and read some new news that no one else can read, and they are supposed to be the only ones who can read the diary, which is her deepest inner thoughts. She would feel connection with them, because they write to her, read her thoughts, and accept her, so she wants to thank them for that.

I dont really know how this makes her selfish or spoiled, because I think thats a great thing for her to do. She doesnt want fame as she said before, so its very logical that she doesnt seek out the entire entertainment world to be her fans.

You have to think about it in sort of Japanese cultural concepts. If you love an artist in Japan, you should join their fanclub, because when you joining, you become part of a very large group who love the same thing, and Japanese loves groups for the most part, and sharing their hobbies.
