Her vocals are stronger though, even if they're a little hard on the ears... And I'm no expert but she didn't sound off key either.

Yeah, I'm really torn about her vocals in Love Song because I actually like her old vocal style, but for me, her old vocals mixed with her new vocals is not a very good combination. I'd prefer one or the other.

Actually, that's kind of what I thought too. In general I don't think she looks old at all, but this performance in particular I thought that the way her makeup was done made her look older. But then you look at things like the Virgin Road PV and she still looks as gorgeous as ever, so hopefully its just this one performance. Although everyone else around here is saying how gorgeous she looked in the performance, lol.

Well looking old and looking gorgeous are two different things. Her makeup seems thicker ESP around the eyes for intensity. Yes she looks more mature than the Ayu in the calendar cover. Maybe it's just for this song's performance. I don't think she'll wear such heavy makeup for her concerts because she will perspire.

While I thought her dress was amazing, the make-up was way too over the top. It seemed as if she wore a mask (and that's only like very obvious in the HD version) and especially during the talk part. I also dislike her bangs, as they just make her face seem weird and artificial. I liked the way her eyes looked though. I didn't think she looked old, just well a bit plastic?

the contacts were freaky as hell. I was watching it on my HDTV and was soo freaked out during that talk part. it wasn't so bad during the performance though because they didn't close up on her that much. but she seriously needs to not wear those contacts again, her real eyes are just fine and don't look creepy.

^ Accidently deleted the post but. It was actually the Rule outfit with an extended bottom. So I guess that's kinda similar.

But I realised that not all costumes weren't recycled. Oops. The only ones that were recycled were...

fairyland @ 2005, Together When... @ 2007 (different skirt), Rule @ 2009 (extended bottom and removing the right sleeve during I am... and Moments.)

The colors were similar, but the I am.../Moments outfit also was sleeveless on the right side, while the Rule one had sleeves for both arms. Perhaps they just made two outfits with similar fabrics?

It were two outfits, else the would have changed it after the 30th Dec performance and in the minutes before the 31st one...and I think it was different fabric

after seeing the performance, I'm beginning to love the song even more, I've always preferred her old singing style, I'm glad it's somewhat back.

I thought she looked fine, Ayu always looks somewhere in her mid twenties to me. XD

Yes, I agree. (although I also thought those contacts were kind of creepy though) Looking plastic though can in some ways equal looking old I think.

i'm not a fan of the outfit but it's not bad either.

The performance was full of passion and her voice is the best for a while. She needs to work harder on controlling it though.
