This is probably just a recycling of earlier Ayu retires rumours. I really hope so, at least.

the news is from onejapanese news and they add something bad to it.
http://tochu.tokyo-np.co.jp/00/hou/2..._____000.shtml

the news said that ayu say'thank you' without use mic, and said that is similar to another former popular female singer who retire after the tour

I think they are making too many assumptions without facts. She did the same thing at the Hiroshima concerts that I went to recently. At the end she puts the mic down and yells "Thank you" without the mic. She did this in Arena Tour 03/04 as well, so it really doesn't mean anything.

Until I hear something directly from Ayu, I'm not going to believe it.

from those articles it's so obvious those r just assumptions of her retirement...
why worry?the only reliable news will be from avex or Ayu herself..
just cos of her actions n words...they say she wanna retire?it's a matter of time b4 she really does step down but there r no official confirmations yet..

well ayu did say to the audience something like 'thanks everyone for giving me a happy ending' but the word 'ending' can either mean her career or simply just the concert itself. Who knows?

Now that I remember though, she did open last years Countdown with HAPPY ENDING, not usually a type of song to start with. And why would she write a song like HAPPY ENDING in the first place if she didn't have the 'ending' in mind? Then again don't quote me on that.

Four years ago, when A BEST wa released, they said Ayu would retire ...

Threee years ago, they also said that ...

Two years ago, again and again

One year ago, after Memorial address here we go again

And this year, always the same "news"

And she is still there. HK NEWSPAPERS HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY, SO THEY CREATE ARTICLES WITH ONLY RUMORS.

Moreover, she wouldn't have released a new single which will probably give a new album at the end of the year ... or at least, she would release a second best-of. Imagine ... she can't retire "like that" ... it's completely stupid.

It's still a rumour untill Ayu clarifies that she is going to retire. Right after i saw some of the posts i went out to watch tv and there was news bout how recently there are alot of negative things towards Ayu like bf breaking up wif her, etc. Sigh the putting down mircrofone business is everywhere, all saying she is retiring but she did that in her cdl 04-05 as well. Also it wouldnt make sense retiring after just releasing a single.

rumor have had ayu on the brink of retiring for years now.

or getting married, or pregnant...

so i'm not too worried. even if she did retire, i'd be sad, but who can blame her?

what country do you live in?

If news like this is spreading in Japan .. Ayu will eventually make some sort of post towards Team Ayu .. just like she did when she was in the news about getting drunk at a few clubs not too long ago.

If people have been saying her music is no good then maybe she should just try another genre of music. She started out as Pop pure and plain pop, then she went to trance type music with pop, a little rock (but not metal noise ie 'is this LOVE?'), back to pure pop (RAINBOW). After her noise that is MY STORY, I can't blame people for not liking it.
