Well she didn't actually run out of songs for the album actually. She was actually in Hawaii doing a photo shoot for the album coming this year; however, she hear the songs from Sweetbox and she decided to drop the origional album that they were going to release and instead they put Geo's songs into it. So it's a totally different album then they were planing in the summer time. So I'm actually glad there is a "Miss)understood album!

I listened to Sweetbox versions.... Ayu's are mostly different except for rainy day and Ladies Night, which sound like they have the same arrangement.

I think Ayu did a very good job with Bold & Delicious.

I thought Ladies Night sounded very different actually. Jade's version was more R&B influenced, whereas Ayu's was more disco-themed. I have to say I don't really like R&B though, so I couldn't listen to Jade's version much.

Haven't really tried comparing the other songs though.

Mmm... GEO didn't only composed the songs. When GEO makes music, he does it especially for Ayu to fit the lyrics Ayu wrote. With GEO songs, it's the reverse: Ayu TRANSLATE and ADAPT lyrics to fit Sweetbox songs and I know the lyirics are her own, but the message is the message GEO or whoever wrote the original version wanted, I suppose, like in Bold & Delicious and In the Corner.

wth is up with everyone saying ayu's new songs are western?! just bc of the outfit she wore in startin' doesn't mean she's going western, and the songs don't even sound that way to me :|

i feel sorrry for the sweetbox fans. origionally her new album was going to be called bold and delicious but with ayu's single they changed the name to addicted. they all took it pretty personally on the sweetbox messageboards...

Nope, because In The corner by ayumi has totally unrelated lyrics to the original from sweetbox. ayu mentioned she TRIED to adapt her lyrics to the english lyrics but she thought it would turn out crap so she created her own lyrics to the songs.

see?
Like many said before, GEO composed the songs, Ayu wrote the lyrics. The lyrics aren't the translated version of SWEETBOX songs anyway.

On the other hand, I completely dislike the GEO=BAD attitude. Bounceback composed Ourselves, and it seems to be a pretty generic track. I wonder, if BOLD&DELCIOUS, PRIDE, and all these songs are composed by DAI or BOUNCEBACK , would we have the same reaction?

that's really cool. I personally like SWEETBOX's music too. But I mean it's cool that such a big star like Ayu likes another not-as-popular singer

Yeah, and Bold & Delicious was taken well in Japan. Though the single didn't sell, the SONG was VERY popular there according to my Japanese Exchange Student. ^__^ It was her cellphone ringtone! Heh, I won't ever forget that moment. It was...unexplainably cool.

I don't get how using Geo's song makes Ayu uncreative or lazy...that's a really shallow comment. I don't think BOUNCEBACK's songs are that great anyway.

//hikari: Why don't you just stop listening to Ayu's music altogether? You always have something mean to say about her. Just move on.

Ayu won't be reading any of your negative comments so you are just making yourself a nuisance to Ayumi fans. *roll eyes* Is that your only purpose around these forums? To irritate others with your consistantly negative, sometimes even unconstructive and un-supported comments?

Well, all she got were the compositiions. But the arrangements and mixing were all done by her own staff. That's why the SWEETBOX versions are a bit less 'pro' for lack of a better word.
