well i dont know about that. but i think the whole queen of jpop thing is more a fan affection rather than a media title. some people would beg to differ and say that namie, or koda are the queens of jpop, but it would be a personal opinion \ and nothing more.

EDIT: Can you imagine if Born To Be... was originall slated to have the lyrics "Born, to be Queen!" in stead of "Born, to be free!"?

well... there are a lot of newspapers that put up the title "Queen of J-Pop
Ayumi Hamasaki... ", and it's true that Namie's had that title too... but Koda?

JaysenRyan; I don't think it's just a fans' term, even timeasia labelled her the empress of japanese pop. I*m sure it must've been used in japanese media before that too.
