You are welcome.

>I on the day IS nodding behind me

I myself feel that this part is a little odd. But I don't know how to correct it. I'd like to get some advices from English-speaking people.

I don't think you should use 'is' if you want be grammatically correct.
Yeah I on the day is nodding behind me - does sound a little weird...

Anyway thanks for providing the translations - this is meaningful

Masa-san,

Here's what I think:

"You see? I on the day
You see? Is nodding behind me"

I think that, contextually, the meaning of this (excluding "you see?") paired with the verse prior to it is that her self in the past is agreeing with her present self. If that's correct, then it would almost be better to word it like so:

"You see? I on that day
You see? Am nodding nodding behind me" (or "Am nodding toward/at me", but that's probably not the meaning of the Japanese word...)

Grammatically, in English you would't say "I, on that day, is nodding behind me" because it's incorrect English. The proper phrasing of that sentence would be "I, on that day, am nodding behind me." Hope that helps. It is grammatically incorrect to say "I is" - "I am" is the correct way to say it. ^_^

no i dont think so.

"on that day" ... that isnt present-tense. so oyu cant say "am" because it IS present tense. still ,it dosent work out.

it could bee ...

"I, on that day, will be nodding behind me"
or
"I, on that day, was nodding behind me"

Quotin Impracticable:
Quote:
"I, on that day, will be nodding behind me"
or
"I, on that day, was nodding behind me"
Those wouldn't fit well cause, as far as i can understand it's somethin, literally, like:

Neee, that day's me, you see?
neeee, is nooding at my back.

So the nooding action happens in present time, performed by past-ayu over present-ayu.

So, I think the most suitable would be:

You see?
Myself, from that day, is nodding at my back.

obs: I'm a not a native english speaker, and also i'm not a japanese native speaker. I just use english a lot and i'm takin' all the efforts i can onto learning japanese.

ps: weee my first post in ash =D (thanks Masa for all those years of translations, i've learnt and i'm learning a lot from you )

"te(i)ru" in this case is a present progressive form, so I think it's incorrect to use past or future form. How about this?

My past self on (or of) that day is nodding behind me
