When someone is popular, there are always haters. So not surprised Ayu is on the list. Not surprised to see Koda there too. People that like Ayumi tend to not like Koda. Not sure why though. Koda's not threatening Ayumi's popularity or vise versa.

Actually, it goes like this:

People who like Ayu probably like Koda who also probably like Namie and also probably like BoA. But people who like Koda probably like Namie and BoA and probably hate Ayu.

It goes really weirdly. I've never liked Koda, so it doesn't have anything to do with who I like and w/e.. I just have never liked her because she's always seemed very trashy to me. [2003~]

fame comes with a price. Even if ur a long-time artist like Ayu. To me theres nothing to not like about her. Shes a true professional and knows her way in the business. She's a person with a job and she does it well, whats to hate?

Why would someone even waste their energy on creating a list of hated singers. There is enough negativity in the world. Who ever made this had nothing better to do, regardless if Ayu is on the list or not.

Is it demographic devided? Like say perhaps most of the people you come into contact with are teenagers or young adults that feel more strongly about this kinda stuff. And perhaps the place matters as well like my friend said ayu is still hot in tokyo. I agree on the control freak part though (unnecesary additions in AT07 and CDL0708 IMO) but you realise people that say things like that don't even care about her songs. They are just finding reasons to dislike her rather than finding reasons to like her. They never wanted to know more about her in the first place, just dismissing her off. Like "she's lost her touch, her spark". What do they know about her touch and spark in the first place? That she was selling like hotcakes at one time? That's so superficial. And going by her sales she's still popular. Not at the top but that's ok. Personally i'm not too worried.

I got japanese friends too and they think the same things about ayu lol

they dont even want to know anything about her really... when i talk to them about ayu they tell me to stop lol
