No. The reason why it's pretty simple: I don't like dancing at all, so I don't even like to watch it!!
That's why maybe I like Namie's concert less than ayu's ones..tehy're too much focused on coreographies and dancing moments.

I love the appears AT07, My name's woman AT05/AT08 and Marionette AT08 dance. It's good that she tries but I prefer her non dance moves...like singing a song for xx...the way she moves the mic stand and stuff.

Yeah I agree. She knows she's not a dancer so she's not going to dance just for the sake of it. It's for a more cohesive performance.

But in Real me and 1 LOVE (I think) she could do that nicely~

She doesn't need to dance I think, as long as not while singing, it's okay i think...

I know she's by no means a great dancer, but I still enjoy seeing her dance. It just wouldn't be right if she never danced during her concerts! I think it adds a lot to the entertainment value of her shows. Besides, sometimes, she really can surprise you.

For rock songs coreography I can understand, but about Ballads I agree too...it must be a moment with the right climax and no distractions at all..
all the attention should be focused on her

I think her Real me dance is pretty graceful, but that's about it. Even her "dancing" in Rule is like a half version of what the dancers are doing. But it's good that she recognizes her strengths aren't in dancing, or else it would all turn out somewhat like Rollin' XD

Ayu isn't the best dancer, no, but I really enjoy when she dances! I especially love the Real Me dance and also the Rule dance. Personally I think it's more fun to watch because she's no the best! And when she does dance really good it's something special!

It is ok when she dance a little bit. But... I would not like it any more, if she would dance to much.
Rolin' dance was funny, I think. (^.^)
So.. she isn't the best dancer.. but sometimes, it is ok.

I love when Ayu dance in Rollin' Sparkle in the Next Level concert tour. I love to watch them!

I love Ayu dance a bit which the audience can follow the dancing too. Not the heavy dance for Ayu.

are these all the songs where ayu dances with the dancers? or have I forgot a song?

Fly high

See, what bothers me is that before 2002, Ayu was NOT a dancing pop star. She just didn't do it. When she did it was smart-alecky (i.e. the Real me PV) and she seemed to be making a statement about those types of pop stars, whether it be that they're allowing themselves to be robots, or that the dancing is superfluous... She did the occasional cute audience-participation type choreography every now & then, but it felt like she was thinking "heehee, i'm gonna do the dance with all of you guys too!" and it felt fun & spontaneous. She didn't learn elaborate dances and they weren't a major component of any of her shows.

Now that she DOES dance all the time, I'm looking at her earlier dances completely differently, and not in a positive light. Maybe the "Real me" PV WASN'T a statement about how pop stars shouldn't let themselves be robotic slaves who dance.

I don't like that ayu dances at all. It's not just that she's not good at it - it seems contrary to who she is as an honest, relatable artist. The more she dances, the more I keep thinking of her as a slave to the higher-ups (and to fans, which is just as bad).

I like when ayu is being herself. That means I like when she's just messing around onstage, moving however she wants. It's cuter, it's sweeter, it's more endearing, and I feel like it's more Ayu. I feel like Ayu is compromising her "self" onstage more and more, and I don't think it's avex's orders, I think she's trying to put on a great show for the fans, without realizing that alot of her fans want to see an AYUMI HAMASAKI CONCERT, not an elaborate stage circus. Concert Tour 2000 was an Ayu concert. AT 08 was a stage circus.

This is one of the best posts I've ever read here. Thank you for expressing what I was thinking so well.

I agree with you, especially the bold part
Ok a concert is entertainment, I love to see awesome scenographies and not a poor and boring stage but it's better if only dancers were allowed to dancing. She could do nice things like ballerina poses but that's enough for her imo. She needs to focus more on sing like her early concerts. That I enjoyed more than her latests.

Yeah. I like when dancers are a moving, human part of the show - like "monochrome" at CT2000 act 1, for instance. That was an AMAZING performance, and it was exactly the sort of thing dancers should do for a show.
