If Ayu did do that, it would be in Japanese though.

We have those looong interviews though for some of the early albums. Didn't Love Again have something similar? I like that track by track look.

I thought 1989 was kind of disappointing. It's probably her most cohesive and consistent album to date (or at least since Fearless), but it felt like the first album that she didn't push herself to actually become a better songwriter. It's just catchy and mindless and... kind of derivative of other popular artists right now (Lana lol). So it was disappointing to me although I like it on other levels.

...Oh this is the Ayu chat topic

I'm a huge fan of mindless pop music; that's why I love it so much haha I thoroughly enjoyed Red but it still had a lot of stumbles but 1989 I can listen to all the way through.

Ayumi Hamasaki, just to stay on topic LOL

Yeah it was very common and soooo corny. Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, (there are many more as well) and most recently I believe Selena Gomez.

On a Taylor Swift related note (before anything else, I love TS and I love Ayu!) I've read she has broken a record for having 3 consecutive albums sell over a million in their debut week. I assume this is for Billboard/American charting? Because Ayu did it with LOVEppears, duty, I am..., and RAINBOW if wiki is correct? I know it was a different time for music when Ayu did it and I'm not trying to take away what Taylor Swift has achieved at all (because she is proving that there is definitely life in music sales still which is great) but sometimes I forget how many records and such Ayu has achieved and Taylor Swift's sales reminded me of Ayu greatness

American music industry doesn't care for the non-English artists sadly, like with most of their horror movies, they act like they created them but asia did first They even need subtitles for British and Australian English because they cant understand our accents. Most of america is good but there are those who make you think... but the american music industry will never give the award to a non English artist who's not in the western charts. You have to look at the world charts for that

Only if it's really strong, and there's a fuck load of slang. In the "general sense" of accents, Americans aren't terrible at understanding what foreigners are saying.

Even if that counts as a world record, Remix albums count for those sorts of tallies - so LOVEppears & Duty & I am... & RAINBOW aren't technically consecutive.

@NintendoHTF1242 truly I'm not so sure, I just heard this from a radio DJ in my place. Nevertheless its kinda funny though listen to that voice memos.
@TeamAyu2004 really? I thought that works only on the concert not music album. It reminds me when I watched Ayu oldies concert when after one or two performance we get a video like some making of concert. It bored me after one or two times watch the concert.

I don't know why I haven't thought about it before...but just thinking about how Colours did not have an intro or any interludes...it could have easily been a 12-14 track album. Wasted potential

Last night I dreamt about an Ayu concert held in a cathedral ....
That was beyond awesomeness ! Mappings on the walls and flamethrowers were used.
Epicness level 9000 !

Happy Birthday LOVEppears!
Ayu really is changing her promotion style. She posts much more active these days on Facebook and Twitter, keeps teasing us with news, pictures etc. It's good!

Fun fact: Ayumi (歩) means to walk, step, progress, walking.

I just noticed that today... the name fits her pretty darn well.
