Say It Right has quite a catchy melody, it is melancholic, but I think the worst thing is the music is louder than the vocals. They're a bit too quiet and you can't understand her easily.

But Say It Right ends very good though with the electric guitar thingy at the end. That part reminds me of Sakura DROPS. However, I don't think it will be a hit like Promiscuous, I havent seen a really sad song top the charts in ages.

You know, I really wished she released Maneater there instead. Maneater is a gigantic hit in the UK and it's played a lot in my place here in Malaysia. It's the catchiest song from the album too.

Aside from Promiscuous/Maneater/No Hay Igual/Te Busque, I don't think there are any obvious singles off the album. Wait For You and All Good Things would be good, but I doubt it'd be successful, like Say it Right. Somebody To Love which is good only exists on certain versions. Agh.

I give this album an 8 out of 10 too.

I love Say It Right but I'm not sure how successful it will be. Maybe they want something vaguely ballad-ish after Promiscuous, even though Maneater is wonderfully catchy - I think it deserves to be an even bigger hit than Promiscuous if it's released as the third US single.

Say It Right does have some catch-ness in it, but as MC said, sad songs, especially like SIR, don't really top the charts much... I'd be a shame if she didn't enter Top 10 on charts with second singles...

I really think Do It is a good track for a single. It follows the same pattern as Maneater and Promiscuous, it's really catchy... but oh well.

Just bought the album (CD+DVD edition at Target~) this afternoon. Amazingly good. "Showtime" is my favorite so far.

Promiscuous has been Billboard #1 for five weeks. I thought it would be there for maybe a week or two, I'm happy I was wrong about that.

Album sales have also been very very high, unlike other Nelly albums. This week Loose sold 44,585, a small drop from last week's 47,431. It's doing very consistently too. Maneater broke the 100k mark in the UK only after 3 weeks.

I didn't buy the album yet, BUT I did buy three tracks from iTunes and a single; They are great! I'm so happy Nelly is having a great comeback (First mariah and now Nelly!)

I'm pretty happy with this - Maneater should do well ín the US too and SIR, my #3 favourite after Maneater and Promiscuous, will still be a single (I hope that means remixes).

Wow, I'm really impress on how Promiscuous grows on you O_O I really like the different approach to hip-hop. I read on wikipedia how she liked the sound of her demo tapes better than her final product, so they didn't super-refine it in the end - awesome.

I love the melancholy of Say It Right. I hope I can give the full album a spin soon!

Nelly Furtado was on "rove live" in Australia last night performing promiscuous -- and she sounds great live! she was so cute when she was talkin to rove -- she had this really cute laugh

And I'm guessing Promiscuous will be released in Europe, since they're already playing the video here. That was kinda smart move, she could check if the songs worked somewhere, so it would be less risky to release them somewhere else.

I'm listening to Say It Right, and it's a great song, really melancholic, sort of saddness yet very powerful, goes through it. Can't wait to see the video.
